The Best DAW is actually the one you know how to use. LMMS creators on KZbin miss out on the major nice things to say about LMMS. - Creation of melody is much easier in LMMS (literally the best) - there's an option on the top of the piano roll from where u can set scale and chord keys highlighted, so even if you don't know anything about music theory, there wont be a problem - triple oscillator is another cool thing. You can get any type of sound out of it. - it has more than 500 inbuilt instruments so u don't need to worry about different VSTs. LMMS is much complex than you think but yet easier. You can make the most complex song ever on LMMS in an easy way. I assure you that you can use this software for a long run. There's no difference in production quality between LMMS and FL Studio. I am producing music since 2014. I use both lmms and FL STUDIO Only one drawback about LMMS is u can't record your vocals. edit - Its absolutely insane that this daw is free

I request creators to gain full knowledge about a DAW and then create Videos about it. This hurts me to watch that some noobs who don't even buy the plugins create videos on lmms just because it's free and everyone can access it.

The only thing I don't like about lmms is that getting plugins to work on it is an absolute pain, sometimes they work flawlessly, sometimes you need to use some crazy workaround and sometimes they flat out don't work
@SquirrelTheorist2 жыл бұрын
I mean, LMMS is quite a great DAW considering it's free. Just one thing that has been driving me crazy for years... the clipping. FL Studio adjusts the output so that it doesn't clip the audio, so the de-clipping on software like Audacity turns out perfectly. LMMS on the other hand "bakes" the even slightly high volumes into that sharp, almost square wave, and I haven't been able to find a way around that except by having to constantly keep adjusting the track volumes and lowering it to the quietest setting (the built-in de-clipper doesn't really do anything but turn your song into a giant square wave as well if it reaches high volume). Oh, and the side-chaining is kinda a pain. I keep losing track of my controllers. Additionally, the ZynAddSubFX plugin keeps crashing for some reason. I don't mean to destroy the LMMS reputation, it's a fantastic DAW, just imo needs a little more development

You can do whatever you want with LMMS. It’s just like FL. What I do recommend tho, is that you download more instruments, so your tracks do not sound like a “default test”. Use effects, like this guy said. You can even download loops or sounds from loopcloud or looperman, so your tracks don’t sound redundant. Good luck, fam.

Great tutorial, but it being open source has nothing to do with it crashing sometimes. Still its a good idea to safe often. I usual have multiple verions of one track. Furthermore if it crashes every time you do one specific thing, you should make a bug report, so the developers can fix it. Tip for Linux users, disable plugin embed in the settings for now. There is a mac version too but that one does not support VST. (The Linux and windows version do support VST)

LMMS as easy to use as FL Studio ? Never in a million years. I am a musician and I've been making music with different DAWs since 2010 (Cubase, Samplitude, FL Studio, Studio One, LMMS, etc.). Everytime I want to make 10 to 15 new musics with a fresh perspective, I try a new DAW so I tried LMMS. I couldn't even make 15 new musics with it like I usually do (I think I only did about 12 new musics before I gave up). It has some strengths : it is very good to make drums for instance, but not for building complex melodies. And I can't for the life of me understand why would a DAW makes drums and melodies in a completely different way. I liked Samplitude and Studio One, I revisit them from time to time but I will never, ever, use LMMS again. Some drums and sounds are quite nice and innovative, that's true and they're of good quality and LMMS is free which is a big plus but if you're not careful your songs can easily be saturated if you're not careful when you export your songs. I never had those kind of sound problems with FL. For me FL is the best, then Studio One and then Samplitude. But if you want to complicate your life, so yeah you can try meddling with LMMS but only if you're truly broke or if money is really an issue because LMMS is free : that is its only appeal. But if you can afford from 300 €/$ to 800 €/$ FL Studio is so much easier to use than LMMS and your production will sound much more professionnal in an effortless way.

Bro, read this. it'll help, trust. you put time in these so here's some tips on getting a high sub count. Focus. Your channel is over saturated. Organize your videos based on focus of the video. Like this one would be in both music production and DAW (or lmms) tutorial. You've got funny videos (haven't watched just saw the thumbnail) or informative or opinion based videos saturating your videos leaving the people looking for the LMMS tutorials "burning out" of your visible track youtube forces on people known as their front page or suggestion feed.

You can’t merely change the file extension. The file has be converted in an actual converter program.
