I love the painting of the square in Malaga. I dream of a journal with my own painted vignettes, but I’m still working on my drawing skills. I’m inspired now and I’m off to practise a few sketches.

Yummie! That mailbox between the trees is delicious. I take my sketchbook too but drawing while people are ‘waiting’ for me is hard. So I don’t draw as often (on holiday) as I want.

Amazing drawings! I always look at your work trying to learn something. The simplification and use of white space is so clever and the most difficult to master. I'm trying to bring the sketchbook everytime and reserve some time for myself, otherwise it's stressful while having other people waiting for me. On the next trips, I will probably set some family expectations and "rules" so that I'm able to sketch once in while. :)

Yes, I think it is a good idea to make decisions beforehand. Things like just limiting your materials, choosing the right size sketchbook and giving yourself a time limit 😊

Lis, I've been trying to find out if you have any workshops or online classes. I absolutely adore your style and would love to learn how you do what you do! xx

Thank you! The only confirmed workshops this year are in Erlangen, Germany and Liverpool in the UK. I usually post about upcoming events first on Instagram where my handle is @lineandwash. I don’t have any online classes atm but am hoping to film some process videos soon 🙂
