To get his second mode you need full bar AND 325+ dmg req. The reason why its so much is that if he dies in his mode he has a revive and he still in mode. His 4 is also a one shot.

todo in my opinion is the most fun character but not in 1's because of boogie woogie, in public you can do crazy stuff and confuse people when you boogie woogie them around and in 2s or 3s you can save your teammates or 100% hit moves by your friend using a skill on you while you boogie woogie with the enemy

I want to know what the devs were on making this character. Like seriously, bros EVERYTHING is too much Like base alone is the most brain dead thing on the planet. The Mr. Slime counter is probably the second best counter in the game. It comes out so quickly, lasts so long, and freezes you in place for eight years. It alone is such a scary button that it completely reshapes how you play neutral with Ragna. Even with the nerfs, it effectively makes every option unsafe. Some characters pressure options are just completely nullified because of the fact that if a projectile grazes the slime you are locked in place and he can make it to you from halfway across the map. I have never been Ragna countered where it feels like a case of the opponent predicting what I would do and not just the opponent pressing the button the moment I did anything and getting to do a full combo off of it. I mean hey, at least it should logically be a character that struggles in base but excels in mode, right? Like, take Doppio, another character who has a counter and a mode gain move. Base Doppio can struggle in a fight due to having a close range guard break and a move reliant on the opponent not being able to predict it is being used. I mean, Ragna has a better counter AND mode gain move that’s overall more safe, SURELY Ragna must struggle in base I got hit by a basic m1, up tilt, extender move combo and lost half my HP while being frozen. On top of that, Ragna’s moves come out fast, have a massive hitbox, and his guard break is extremely solid This is before he gets mode where, in his weaker mode, I got hit with the counter and was zero to deathed by move spam. This, btw, is what I was calling the best counter since it comes out so fast it can be used during Cell’s combo blitz’s final attack I hit my move And got 120-0d for it And he has a stronger mode with a revive and an ult that does massive damage I’ve literally played against probably one of the worst Ragna’s ever. A gold skin Ragna who banned ZABUZA and was getting completely WIPED because of how predicable he was. Literally didn’t even do one up tilt combo. I had 3 stocks, he had 1. He then popped mode and it literally didn’t feel like I could do anything An ranked experienced player who didn’t do uptilt combos and was salty against some Zabazu player got the golden skin from just abusing the busted normal mode Call it a skill issue if you want, but there comes a time when dying from full because I landed my own move has to be seen as the fault of balance
