On International Day of the Girl, watch Malala speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex. They’ll discuss the barriers preventing 130 million girls from going to school and why it’s essential that we champion every girl’s right to learn.

Nearly 130 million girls were out of school before the pandemic - and an additional 20 million girls may have their education cut short because of it. Since April, Malala Fund has been working with our Education Champions to ensure girls continue learning during the COVID-19 crisis. And we are investing an additional $3 million in grants to education organisations who are working to make education systems safer and stronger in the countries where we work. As the world works to rebuild, our goal should not be a return to the way things were but instead a renewed commitment to the way the world should be, a place where every girl can learn and lead. On International Day of the Girl, your donation will help fund our work to reach girls who are at risk of not returning to school.

Malala has shown gratitude to the people of the United Kingdom who nursed her to health and helped her get facial reconstructive surgery! Did Harry and Meghan get paid for this? Malala does great work, but I wonder if the Sussexes really believe in what Malala is doing, or if this was just a money-making gig for them. This was a perfect opportunity for Meghan to talk about what a wonderful, supportive, and encouraging role her father played in her education, just as Malala's father was for her. Watching the Sussexes was distracting for me. Meghan is smack in.the middle of the frame while Harry is uncomfortably squashed to one side, looking like he might fall off the edge of the couch! Also, why do they look so smudged and out of focus? Malala looks lovely, but Harry and Meghan look fuzzy. Also, what has Meghan done to herself? She doesn't look like the same person Harry married. She looks like Kim Kardashian, tons of makeup, and suddenly her skin is 8 shades darker! Is this makeup or a spray tan? Malala, please reconsider any involvement with these two. Malala is the ONLY one to admire. She took a stance, a true game changer coming from a place where girls were opressed. The other woman had to marry to get her naraccistic side filled to gain the fame she craves. I do not admire a titled idiot and an ex tv actress who married a so called prince. In Europe, migrant parents of girls with certain ethnic backgrounds have to send their daughters to school, so the girls do get an education. But once they graduate that is it. There will be an arranged marriage and they will become wives and mothers. As long as the traditions and attitudes of those families won't change, it's of no importance whether or not these girls get an education.
