The guys who picked you on the bikes were very happy to see you guys even before you gave them the big tip. They were saying, “we’re carrying foreigners, we’re getting out of this country, our neighbor is Mzungu, our money ndi zakingereza”. The one in a blue jacket told his friend, “Dude, you were about to go that way, you would have missed this opportunity”. After getting the tip, they got even more energized saying, “today is our lucky day, we don’t want any trouble”. These guys do a tough job riding those bikes and they probably mostly make 2-5 dollars a day, so that 5000 kwacha ( about $3) definitely made their day a little better.

I must say, you did a great job showing the real, daily life in Malawi. Not the expat or the uptown life, but the life of the majority of all beautiful people of the Warm Heart. The traveling by minibus, the communication and mis-communication, the (salty) traditional dishes, the kind people (but who unfortunately struggle to give directions though they don't admit it and just point you completely the wrong way, the street chaos and business, people hustling and trying to make ends meet (Where are you going?" lol), the amazing scenery and lovely climate. Nice video. Over the Lake Malawi, Tanzania should go ahead and then set precedent. Then Kenya and Uganda will claim equal share of the Lake Victoria in terms of percentage. Currently, the shoreline is shared by Kenya (6%), Uganda (43%), and Tanzania (51%).
