In this video of the Chewa traditional marriage ceremony, we learn about:
-Chiongo-Charging of the bride price
-Charging of Nkhuku -Money paid to the bride's uncles
Chikamwini A man works at the girl’s parents' home with the intention to marry the girl. This shows his potential in raising their daughter
-Kugwira chikamwini-When the man returns after kugwira chikamwini for one or two months, they make assessments of how he has performed
-Chitengwa-The girl goes to the future husband's home to show her potential as a wife
-Informing the chief

Whatmakes me amaze the meeting takes place by groom and bride's family but the institute will lead by the couple.
