Those were really the days. From Monday to Sunday every football fan talking about Malaysia Cup. By Friday where got mood to work??? Saturday afternoon will go the National Stadium to queue for tickets. The stamping of feet on the ground and benches were amazing. Who can forget the Kallan Wave??? When Singapore scored, whethere you are chinese, malay or indian, you just hugged the person beside you and high five. And the famous 9 Horn followed by malay curse word when the refree made a mistake.

Hair raising even today! Electric atmosphere and fantastic result! Credit to Pahang, they always raise their game when playing against SG. Reminder of Sundram's dummy back heel brought me here again. Thanks for posting this..

The matches in 93 were amongst the most entertaining with big score lines. Too bad we lost to Kedah eventually but I thought that’s was really the strongest team we ever had.

Those were the days when SGreans didnt care about EPL or any euro league. Only Msia league/cup. Yes its a very low standard compared to the euros. But you get 60K fans at Kallang Stadium every single week. Now for S league, you are lucky if you can get 600 fans in the stadium.

I can't forget it either, I remembered I was working at Chong Pang NPP afternoon shift & everyone was anxious and excited about the game. I recalled doing a traffic report when we heard shouts of goal from the flats, both the complainant and myself literally stopped what we are doing and got out of the NPP just to confirm and celebrate.....it was amazing....Malaysia Cup Days are really something and you won't get that kind of feeling or atmosphere this days.

i was serving NS with the police and was doing NPP afternoon duty at my post, the heart was at the stadium thinking about them, remembered doing a traffic report when fandi scored the whole few blocks just erupted with joy, both me n the complainnant went out just to celebrate...the days....awesome...the one event that really unite us all and still now

i will never forget this game, i remembered sitting behind a desk, while on national service with the police force, preparing a traffic report for a public while i had my mobile tv under it with the volume loud enough for us to hear. both of us were sitting there listening when we hear the roar echoing from the nearby flats, it was crazy, absolutely crazy. it pains me that I werent able to attend the game while my friends were there. It was a love affair back then every year during the msia cup.

Pahang’s lack of discipline cost them the game. They were in control leading 2-1 then their sweeper Alan Davidson was sent off for 2 yellows. Pahang’s defence cracked after Davidson’s dismissal the Lions were able to breach their defence with ease. The same happened in the Malaysian Cup Final a year later. Davidson’s absence was one of the key factor why the Lions were able to win 4-0.

One never knows what true glory days are until they're gone..being part of the Malaysian Semi-pro league was fantastic!! We miss playing in it, as much as the Malaysians miss us. Hidup Malaysia!! Though its weird im replying you 10 years later, let me just tell u this,some of em have paid their dues..though i believe and so will many singaporean that went thru that year believe that with or without match fixing our 'kampung boys' was one of the best that few particular years and we would still win the cup in 94 ,win or lose match fixing or no we r still behind them..something that we cannot see/get nowadays..lets ask ourself why..
