Because the ex-PM was innocent and was not convicted in that crime, instead he was convicted with only 49m. He was convicted only 7 charges out of over 40, for only lack of defence evidence and also the proof of the 7 charges are sketchy, later to be brought to the court appeal. I’m betting getting rid of the the big 1b was much harder than 49m except this time, they would be well prepared.

Dan mereka berkata kepada kulit mereka: “Mengapa kamu menjadi saksi terhadap kami?” Kulit mereka menjawab: “Allah yang menjadikan segala sesuatu pandai berkata telah menjadikan kami pandai (pula) berkata, dan Dia-lah yang menciptakan kamu pada kali pertama dan hanya kepada-Nya lah kamu dikembalikan.” Kamu sekali-sekali tidak dapat bersembunyi dari kesaksian pendengaran, penglihatan dan kulitmu kepadamu bahkan kamu mengira bahwa Allah tidak mengetahui kebanyakan dari apa yang kamu kerjakan.” (QS. Fushilaat: 20-22) Allah Ta’ala berfirman, ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُنْ فِتْنَتُهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا وَاللَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِينَ “Kemudian tiadalah fitnah mereka, kecuali mengatakan: “Demi Allah, Rabb kami, tiadalah kami mempersekutukan Allah.” (QS. Al-An’am : 23) Dari Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu ‘anhu, ia berkata bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam membaca ayat, يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا “Pada hari itu bumi menceritakan beritanya.” (QS. Al-Zalzalah : 4) Rasul lalu bertanya, “Apakah kalian tahu apa yang diceritakan oleh bumi?” Para sahabat menjawab, “Allah dan Rasul-Nya yang lebih tahu.” Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, إِنَّ أَخْبَارَهَا أَنْ تَشْهَدَ عَلَى كُلِّ عَبْدٍ أَوْ أَمَةٍ بِمَا عَمِلَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا أَنْ تَقُولَ عَمِلَ كَذَا وَكَذَا يَوْمَ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ فَهَذِهِ أَخْبَارُهَا “Sesungguhnya yang diberitakan oleh bumi adalah bumi jadi saksi terhadap semua perbuatan manusia, baik laki-laki maupun perempuan yang telah mereka perbuat di muka bumi. Bumi itu akan berkata, “Manusia telah berbuat begini dan begitu, pada hari ini dan hari itu.” Inilah yang diberitakan oleh bumi. (HR. Tirmidzi no. 2429. Tirmidzi mengatakan bahwa hadits ini hasan gharib. Al-Hafizh Abu Thahir mengatakan bahwa sanad hadits ini dha’if. Namun hadits ini punya penguat dalam Al Kabir karya Ath-Thobroni 4596, sehingga hadits ini dapat dikatakan hasan sebagaimana kesimpulan dari Syaikh Salim bin ‘Ied Al-Hilaliy dalam Bahjah An-Nazhirin, 1:439).
