Rich nations in the West such as Germany..France..UK..swiss etc are interested in having skyscrappers. They invested in other more important sector such as RD.

The problem is housing prices in the surrounding area of this tower is going up because of over competition among the developers and yeah they invest in this project😢 using public fund to benefit foreigner not locals 😢

This is private project by PNB Nasional Berhad. Not using government fund.

@@ReefearEapear yes i know but the PNB is basically public assets fund management company also subdivision of amana saham malaysia i also hv my cash deposit in the account so as investor don't think this project will give huge return instead if they invest in other infrastructure project...

"The Merdeka 118 project is fully funded by Permodalan Nasional Bhd's (PNB) and not the Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) unitholders", president and group chief executive Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn clarifies. PNB is the main company. ASNB is their subsidiaries. Amanah saham Malaysia ASM is one of the products of Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) which is subsidiaries to PNB. Dont you mixed everything up like rojak. PNB never using public money for investment. They using investors money, investing in high profile project including this Menara PNB118. The only subsidiaries that handled investment funds or unit trust is ASNB. Their product varies to Amanah Saham Bumiputera 1 and 2, ASB 3 DIDIK, ASM, ASM WAWASAN, etc.. And yet, dividend for ASB 2023 is 5.25% which means able to give high returns to unit holder.

I confuse. They cancelled their hsr project for saving budget, but they build this tower. I think hsr will give more impact for development

The old HSR project was gov funded instead of private equity.

Saudi Arabia is now constructed the tallest skyscrapper ever wth more than 1000 meter high. It will make Burj Alkhalifa no 2..M118 no 3 or 4.

I have a strand of hair sticking out about half a metre from my head ,my official height is 7feet. Tallest man alive ! Shanghai tower is the second tallest ,this tower isn't even 3rd.

That's a never settled debate in many forums... they're more than half a kilo tall mega structures... to be frank, other than show off, do they really solve any issues?... literally, they made issues pretending they've solved.
