I was briefly back in Malaysia for another few car-culture fuelled days. Except this time I was on the island of Borneo, more specifically Kota Kinabalu in the region of Sabah. Around the Cult show I ventured off to discover car culture in the city and this is the vlog of my first 2 days there! More to come next…

man the quality of the cars are insane. You see these types of videos from other countries but each time i see them from malaysia, i swear the body work/paint is flawless.

aint gonna lie, but from my observation these past few months, I can say a lot of dope JDM cars in SE Asia are from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. there are a lot of nice cars back in my home country, the Philippines, but our neighbors in the south east are on a whole other level! plus the cars are RHD, which makes having a true JDM car a much easier thing. not unlike in the Philippines, cars are LHD and you have to do a lot of conversion just to be able to register a JDM car in the Philippines.

Man its hard to pick a favorite honestly, though the S15s and FDs always stick out for me. They do well with the R35s compared to elsewhere honestly, i feel like most places dont know how to make them look good lol. That Pajero Evo may be my fav just because of how rare they are! Love all Pajeros but the Evo with that bodykit, so sick. Savannah RX7s are a cool one too. Glad to see Rotary engines alive in well in Malaysia, no random swaps lol

The island of Borneo is not "tiny", actually. Hehehe... but if you want to check out a tiny island with its own JDM fans, you can visit Labuan which is a 30min flight away from KK. Labuan has the advantage of being a duty-free island, so imported cars are more affordable. Love the video! Hope you can come back again to Sabah and other parts of Malaysia to show the JDM culture in my country.

Great content, great music… but why did you just dedicate a few seconds to the A70 Supra, even though you know you’ve dedicated to the other “more popular models” so much time, in all your videos; same problem with Larry, he just cover FD’s RX7’s, A80’s Supras and the same skylines, S chassis’s as every single car blog out there… You are way more mature and have more observation experience, show the others how car journalism is done man! Keep up the awesome job
