Those traditional houses you see in Kampung Morten are typical to Malacca and some parts of Negeri Sembilan. If you go in rural Negeri Sembilan, you'll find different style traditional houses. Same with other states. There are many different types of traditional houses here in Malaysia. The best pisang goreng is just basic fried banana, without additional flavour.

You should see Kampung Morton at night. It is so beautiful. The whole area is lit up and the lights are reflected in the river. That goes for the river cruise too. Beautiful lights shine along the river at night. It is totally different than in the day time. The next time you are here you should also go for tai bak (a Straits-born Chinese kind of chendol) and fried oyster (oysters fried in egg batter). They are so delicious. You must also visit Jonker Walk (a food haven in Malacca). Opens only on weekends.

Melaka Malay food generally is more spicy than other states in Malaysia. Melaka's signature dish is Asam Pedas which literally means Spicy Sour. It's a spicy sour soup generally cooked with different kinds of fish. If you are still in Melaka you must try Nyonya cuisine. It's a Malay-Chinese fusion food. Try a dish called Ayam Buah Keluak. It's a Nyonya cuisine special dish that you can only get in Nyonya restaurant.

The real authentic Nasi Lemak only contains: - coconut rice - sambal - anchovies - peanuts - Cucumber - Hard boiled egg/fried egg/telur dadar(Omelette egg) - Fried chicken/Fried fish - and it's served with banana leaf Most popular nasi lemak is with egg, and Malaysian favourite to get these kind of Nasi Lemak is from Morning stalls sold by Malaysian around the country early in the morning. In the past Nasi Lemak is very popular with Fried fish but as time goes on Chicken became more relevant to Nasi Lemak. The one you guys had in Nasi Lemak Wanjo is called Nasi Lemak Berlauk (Nasi Lemak mix with different dish from Malaysia)
