I love maths Q1. 1/3 x 5/8 = 5/24 Q2. 48 x 100 = 4800cm then plus 5cm is 4805cm Q3. No solution, it’s KBAT (or HOTs) question. So use your critical thinking 😂 Q4. 9 divided by 3/8 is 24 then plus with 3 students that didn’t come, u will get 27. Q5. If u dont have scientific calculator, use tree diagram. I draw for only 1 number and get 6 different ways. Since he had 4 different numbers so i just multiple 4 by 6 and get 24 different ways. Since the question already gave 2 different ways. Then, 24-2=22. I forgot if there is another solution 😂

@dajunzhou18463 жыл бұрын
I don't think so - most of it logic thinking and problem solving. For example in the last question. Even if you dont remember factorials formulae, you can still get the answer by logically working it out. 4 possibilities for first digit leaving 3 possibilities for second digit, 2 possibilities for third digit and only one possibility for last digit. So its 4x3x2x1. Since already 2 possibilities done, so its 24 - 2 = 22. Nothing to do with constant usage. But depends on how the test is marked - if they insist on giving marks for the formula used, then may not get the full marks.

Okay this is my take on answering the question, though my explanation might be advanced 😅 Question 1: 5/8 ÷ 1/3 = 5/8 ÷ 3 5/(8x3) = 5/24 Question 2: This one is kinda basic knowledge :v but 1m = 100cm, so, 48x 100cm = 4800cm 4800cm + 5cm = 4805cm Question 3: This one HOTS/KBAT habis. But if I were to imagine it from experience, 5g is 1 sachet of sugar. So, it has to be heavier. The first 2 answers literally does not make sense (since they’re in kilogram). So the most probable answer is 31.75g Question 4: Okay this one is literally hard for me to explain since I use equations, but try to understand from my calculations: Let x = number of people that were supposed to attend But, on that day, 3 were absent, therefore, the 9 pizzas have to be divided for (x-3) people 9/(x-3) = 3/8 -> cross multiply everything 9x8 = 3 x (x-3) 72 = 3x - 9 -> Solve and rewrite everything 3x = 72 + 9 3x = 81 x = 27 Question 5: This question actually falls under add maths form 5 (Permutation and combination). There are 4 digits, where he can arrange at random. Therefore, the TOTAL number he can combine is 4! 4! = 4x3x2x1 = 24 Since the question had already told us Mr. Kim tried 2 initial combinations, so the answer is: 24 - 2 = 22 . I hope this comment helps! :D

When I look back at how our syllabus is being taught in school, I begin to wonder how relevant and applicable it is to our working or everyday lives. Instead, could we teach youngsters on how to better prepare themselves on what's to come in their future such as cutting edge industry related technical skills and knowledge, programming, IT, automation.

BRUH. The fields you mentioned are highly reliant on mathematics. In fact, mathematics serves as the foundation in all these fields.

LOL. the mathematic that from 7 years old student to 17 years old student are actually the basic to all fields that we will learn. Just only higher level math in Uni are not necesery for everything but just higher level science subject
