Craig was because he saw in Lois a mom figure that he was lacking all his life, despite them being of a similar age. As for Francis, he usually blames Lois for his miserable life stemming from the time she burnt his teddy bear to her shipping him off to Marlin Academy after piercing his nose and being arrested by the cops for burning a neighbor's car. It was Francis's time in Alaska in midway season 3 that started his road to maturing and shedding his delinquent ways. In season 4 and while working at the Grotto ranch, he became an adult and helped comfort Lois when she was down on herself in regards to Reese along with her own regrets in not listening to Malcolm and Dewey's warning not to let him head the garage sale.

@wjb4578 Жыл бұрын
Even better, she realized girls were worse because they are nastier and aren't above using dirty tricks to get what they want. Also Francis in drag was hilarious
@ladyfire44 Жыл бұрын
Well Lois did start to see that her life wasn't all that different from the reality with her sons. Possibly much worse with the girls than them. Renee: A promiscuous bully who is pregnant with a guy Mallory likes as revenge for not asking to use her hair brush. She is similar to Reese in bullying others for her own gain. However, Renee is very capable of psychological warfare and is able to manipulate the situation in her favor. Mallory: An egotistical and self-absorbed brat who is a genius like Malcolm. However, she uses it normally and deviously just to get what she wanted. Whereas, Malcolm uses his to cause pain to others. Only on a few occasions, he uses his genius normally. Daisy: A manipulative and conniving sadist who likes getting her sisters in trouble akin to Dewey. Frances: A rebellious adult who left school and blames Lois for her miserable life like Francis. Unlike him, she is married 5x, still blames Lois for ruining her life and and also Hal for his inaction against her. Lois should've known better because she grew up with an entitled sister in Susan and an abusive mom in Ida all her life. Even Hal knew how girls behaved underneath the sweet exterior because he had to deal with his older sisters, Claire and Amelia all his life, along with his father, Walter's negligence as a father.

@ladyfire4411 ай бұрын
Funny thing is that Jamie was originally planned to be revealed as a girl in season 5's Vegas. Although Lois would've finally gotten what she wanted, she finds out that girls are a different breed of troublemaker. She has a hard time disciplining Jamie and nearly gives up until Piama is able to put her in her place. When Lois asks how she was able to deal with Jamie so easily, she explained that she grew up with backstabbing female cousins, manipulative aunts and abusive grandmothers. She learned a lot of their tricks early on. Lois was used to doling harsh punishments with her boys because they were the ones she has with Hal and can expect their fights and misbehavior. She was outside her element because Jamie is a girl and knows her tricks. Thus, she was able to beat Lois in her game. With Piama, it's different because she knows what to expect with girls. She teaches Lois some of her tricks in order to better deal with Jamie in the near future. The reason the gender was changed was because Bryan Cranston accidentally said mister instead of young lady during the filming.

I never understood the appeal of MitM, entirely because I’ve lived with abusive parents who weren’t that different from the parents in that show. So to see this joke in Family Guy was like Seth saying to me “Hey kid, you’re right to hate this bitch. Here’s her getting beaned upside the head by a guy you’ll associate with run down RV’s and blue meth in about 15 years.”

I thought that when getting older I'd get more empathy toward Lois.... I was so wrong, I always hated how she never allowed Malcolm to be free, just because she wanted Malcolm to be "President" , she is like those parents who oblige their children to be doctors or engineers, when their children have other dreams

Or that episode where Malcom tries finding a new job and she straight up says no cause then you won’t be under my supervision 24/7 😂

When I grew up I got more matured. When my little cousins were born, I started to understand Lois a bit more, so I was more prone to side with her on some points, but at the final episode, even today I can't side with her.

@@Stress_._Free Or how about when she fucked him out of a paid scholarship to his dream school because she wanted him to look after his brothers? So he ends up busting his ass as a janitor to pay for school in the finale.

Touché. Looking back on the series, somebody should have told Lois how to solve for X: “Francis is a lost cause; you screwed up too badly, now just wait out the clock for his 21st birthday. Completely ban your mother from your life. Tell her to eat shit and die and that she finally gets her wish: to have her perfect daughter Susan all to herself, without you. Hal does not get to make whoopee ever again until he cleans the house top to bottom over a period of several days. He also has to kiss up to his family alongside you to improve your standard of living and thus Hal gets a better paying job.” “Phase two: Reese comes home to find out that you had him followed. He gets to see himself behave like a mean and cruel piece of trash with the IQ of a walnut. When the tape ends, he will learn that this is unacceptable. He is going to a military school as well, with an eye towards him going into the services. This military school should have a much tougher reputation than Francis's school. It also should be in a state that permits corporal punishment. Time for him to be the smallest and most vulnerable maggot. He gets to come home at Christmas, but his grades must pick up.” Phase three will see you through with Malcolm, Jamie, and Dewey. Let Dewey go to another school that is more geared to his talents, and get him the hell away from the Buseys. Malcolm must get a job. Then the scholarship money is HIS. End of story. His life is his own after that, Lois. Tough shit if you don't like that. Jamie gets to go to preschool like a normal boy and HAL is in charge. With Reese gone, the stress level will go down. He is always the muscle behind plans. He needs to get the message that he has got to change a lot before you grant him the attention he so craves. Malcolm needs to understand that nobody gives a crap how smart you are and needs his ego deflated. Dewey needs to stop being ignored, and Jamie needs to be nurtured. That is all you have to do. You can then move out of the crummy house and get a better deal when you get a higher paying job. Let go of the rest, and you will be much happier.”

You have to consider Will Reese be happier in military school, or in the military? When you make a human being you can’t just ship them away if you don’t vibe with their personality.
