"Veep" is savage too. The actors, like Julia Louis-Dreyfus, would come up with a lot of their own mad lib insults and try to out verbally bitch slap each other. Bloody brilliant! I love both of his shows.

T Smith I’d think it would be more because many have realised that it’s not just a group of out of touch and manipulative political elites that cause societies problem’s, as the thick of it, and indeed your comment, could be seen to suggest. It’s more that the entirety of society is crooked from the ground up, and any one claiming to represent the “common man” usually turns out to be even worse, using their (usually quite shaky) popular mandate as an excuse to cut down on political pluralism in government, because it’s the “people’s will.” I’d actually prefer Malc to some populist demagogue any day of the week. As shown in this episode, he is willing to compromise, rather than stick fast to an ideological grand plan.
