We just hate to admit that we are wicked and love everything white society has to offer, which is why we still celebrate Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Valentine's day. Brother Malcolm was honest, caring and uplifting. Brother Malcolm was anti injustice and anti inequality. He was for Africans to be with self by being in control of our own affairs, be united with each other and stand up for each other. Brother Malcolm taught Africans to be proud of who we are BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

OBITUARY: THE SAD PASSING OF COMMON SENSE Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair, and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned, but overbearing, regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate, teenagers suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they had themselves failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer paracetamol, sun lotion or plaster to a pupil, but could not inform the parents when a pupil became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, churches became businesses and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home, but the burglar could sue you for assault because you protected yourself and your own. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realise that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion, his daughter, Responsibility and his son, Reason. He is survived by three stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realised that he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing. The Indianapolis Star, May 15 1998, by Ms. Lori Borgman in Indianapolis Indiana USA

This is, in fact, one of his great weaknesses, and propagandists are well aware that in order to reach someone, one must first convince him that propaganda is ineffectual and not very clever. Because he is convinced of his own superiority, the intellectual is much more vulnerable than anybody else to this maneuver. Jacques Ellul -- Propaganda, The Formation of Men's Attitudes

Unfortunately Michael X towards the end of his life changed his view on that he saying here! In fact: Malcolm changed his views on interacial relations. He said At one time I believed Intermarriage between Black and White was forbidden but now I realise what's Important Is how two people feel about one another. If two people love one another then that's what's Important - It's between the two of them! Michael then went on to say: I realized the problems of race relations In America as an aberration. He no longer believed that all whites were evil and bigoted. He felt that American problems were peculiar to American and should be dealt with In that context!

@BO Cl I kinda agree with you. These type of speeches are undermined as just another good speech rather than people grasping it's reality and coming to terms with what they are hearing. That's why we didn't learn about malcolm in school. I honestly respected Dr. King but people think that he carried the civil rights movement when Malcolm had been doing it for at least a decade before Dr. King. Also it really shows how timeless this speech is.

@BO Cl it's meaningless speech. Goes in one ear and come out the next. His own daughter didn't even listen to his speeches. She was allegedly arrested for a stupid crime. So ppl have rejected these speeches as meaningless. Whenever the word god is mentioned some become turned off.

It always shakes my soul whenever I watch or listen to these interview clips with those WS bastards questioning Malcolm's intentions and beliefs regarding racism. They talk to him as though he created bigotry. No, THEY DID! They also act so shocked by his “total separation” comments. Yet, back in those days the WS had signs on their businesses stating the exclusion of who?...ALL BLACKS! I swear, they were pros at deflecting! Makes me sick to the core to watch it and to hear it! Malcolm, my eternal father, I adore you for the smart, strong man that you were, and the golden legacy you left behind! I carry your words with me everyday, just as I will continue to do for the remainder of my life! Thank you, father X!
