"17 protection spells?? Who hurt you" Well, you see, some people have the philosophy in a friendly commander game that the best strategy is to not let your opponent's commanders exist on the table. Like, I get removing things if they become a problem, but like... we can play something other than commander if you don't want commanders to exist
@omegagaming6094 ай бұрын
I mean, that can be fair depending on the commander. Always killing the mono white soldier player's commander might be kinda BM, but if you see a commander like Korvold, Chulane, Voja, or Miirym, the choice is between killing their commander every time they play it, or let them get an insurmountable advantage as soon as they untap.

How do we submit decks for this?
@auricle28734 ай бұрын
I genuinely can't imaging half of these people are hitting more than 4 land drops in a game. How the hell is MORE THAN ONE person playing with 33 lands. Heck, the only people with 36 lands are simic players and not a single person had more than 36. Look. I get it. People would rather have a cool big spell in their hand than a land. But how do you expect to cast any of those cool big spells on curve if you're not running enough lands to consistently cast them on curve. Please for the love of god run 36 minimum unless you have a huge non-land ramp package, i.e. you're an artifact deck and half your non-lands are mana rocks. Btw, just for anyone wondering. The chance to hit all your lands/mana on curve by turn 3 with 33 lands and minimal ramp (lets say 3 mana rocks) are 70%. That's a 30% chance you won't have the mana for a TURN 3 PLAY!!. This compared to 37 lands with maybe 6 other pieces of ramp is 84% on turn three. To put that in other terms, that's sandbagging every 1 out of 6 games vs sandbagging every 1 out of 3. This may not seem that important but remember, casual Commander decks are almost all midrange decks, and thus, casual Commander is a game of attrition. It is a game of assembling a winning board before other people can. And generally, that takes lots of consistent mana to do.
