Everything in Maldives is exported. There is no manufacturing sector in Maldives. Sand and brick 🧱 and wood and steel and iron is imported from India 🇮🇳, China 🇨🇳, Indonesia 🇮🇩, Middle East . No current production also, they operate on generators... entire country... petrol and diesel is very cheap as it is imported from Middle East. Indian currency is not accepted in Maldives 🇲🇻.
