@@matandangie I think they are. I use skybus in Melbourne to get to the airport. Regular services and goes to the centre of Melbourne, about a 25 min walk to my apartment from there so it suits me!

Did you use the Air Asia site to book flights from? or another one? can’t get myself a flight from male’ to kl below $300 😢

Yes we always buy flights on the airlines companies websites just to be reassured of refunds in case of delays or cancelled flights.. I’m sorry to hear that. Are your dates fixed? How long in advance are you looking for? Cause maybe that could be the issue. We bought ours about 20 days before the actual flight (maybe earlier for this route could be better) cause ours were also kind of expensive!

I am taking the same flight. what did you do in male or hulhumale from 8am to 6pm?

We arrived on Male at 2:10pm with the ferry from Ukulhas (which departs at 9:45am). We bought some chips and then went straight to the airport with the little ferry from Male to the airport. We waited in the lounge and then it was already time to check in 😅 If you arrive at 8am maybe you should look for a nice bar where to hang out for a while or you can walk around Male (I wouldn’t recommend Hulhumale though). It’s something we didn’t do though so I cannot recommend anything for you on the main island, but keep in mind that there is a very easy to navigate bus system which can bring you around for cheap, we made a video about it kzbin.info256lJG9vLzg?si=32E_mE5A0c1m7BT1

@@matandangie i am from Singapore and even I concur that Malaysia gives you alot more joy for every euro spent, based on the videos, Tioman Island and Redang might give you a comparable but cheaper experience of Maldives at 1/3 the price for scuba and snorkeling but with smaller marine life , at least I hope so as I plan to go there too.
