My parents put me on them on account of my obsessive tendencies. If you ask me, they made a big mistake. I have not been able to have a good orgasm in years. I can't remember the last time it happened, nor do I remember the last time I ever felt the need to relieve myself. I have essentially become an artificial asexual. It is a colorless life. Quite frankly, I would have preferred the alternative.

I remember going to see a urologist back in my 20s with this problem.. I’m now 52 and still have this problem.. This tells you the help I receive d.. I’ve only recently found out that what I have has a name so I can now try to resolve it.. Really makes me wonder what the doctors were up to back in 80s when I first explained my problem

I took SSRI's as a kid (12 or 13 years old). Now as an adult, it has never worked right. Doctors and scientists need to take this seriously and look into long term possible effects from using certain drugs (notably SSRIs) and how it impacts sexual function.

There is a difference between ejaculation and orgasm. Orgasm involved ejaculation, but ejaculation does not always involve orgasm.

I’ve lasted over 25 mins for years. Does that necessarily mean I have delayed ejaculation as a problem? I don’t think so. Sometimes I do suffer from anorgasmia. I’ll have to have my hormones checked

When you say switch to bupropion, does that mean to get off the Ssri? Can we just add it instead? I’m on SNRI for nerve pain

Bupropion does not help nerve pain, only the SNRI's do well in that regard. It can be added to your SNRI carefully but the combination may cause other problems. Go see a Urologist.

You may be able to slightly reduce the dosage of the snri to solve the anorgasmia. If you are on the snri for neuropathic pain control you could add gabapentin to allow you to get good pain control at a lower dose of snri.

Yeah, I’m my lifetime lexipro, Paxil, and now Sertraline which I like but has the horrible side effect as every SSRI I’ve tried of not finishing sexually, ive tried countering this with Bupropion and Buspirone and it works to some degree but not consistently or without excessive effort. Doc suggested viagra once that made it worse! Anyone know of any counter to SSRI sexual side effects?

You need to see a Urologist to have the cause and treatment of your problem. This is not always a straight forward problem to solve.

So what could be damaged if i have an ejaculation, but no pleasure in orgasms at all + no pleasure during sex/masturbation? This condition occoured after a short sharp pain, without me doing anything bad/special.

Talk to a Urologist. Let them examine you, run necessary tests, etc. to find out what is wrong.

I have this exact experience, except for me the short sharp pain happened shortly after lifting something heavy.
