My 30 year old son just told me he’s gender fluid. He said he dresses like a women only when he’s at home. I asked if he was going to transition and he said he’s not sure. He says for now he’s perfectly happy just dressing like a women when he feels feminine. I told him what ever he decides is fine with me. I just want him to be happy. Life is to short to not do what makes you happy as long as you are not hurting yourself and other people. I knew that my son was different since he was little. When I see these videos, most of the people wanting to change, already have facial treats of a female or male. It's actually fascinating if you think of it, how a brain can develop as a female for instance and the body as male in the womb. Living with the mismatch is horrible, but I am glad we live in times that matching your body to your brain is possible.

Hey there, I am confused about statements like "acting male" etc. When I was a kid (I am cis female) I grew up with boys only and all I wanted to do is do what they boys did (because I thought it was so much more interesting than playing the stereotypical "girl games"). Because that was not accepted by the grown up and the boys I wanted to play with I insisted on getting my hair cut short and dress "like a boy". However, I had no idea about what gender was nor did I ever feel like switching genders. I just wanted to be free to do what was fun. For me there is no "acting like a boy or girl", there never was. So it confuses me when people say things like: I knew I wanted to be boy, because I liked boxing. In short I am confused why stereotypes are used as an argument for being trans or gender fluid? Don't get me wrong, I do not doubt at all that someone "knows" they are in the wrong body etc. but I don't understand what dressing or doing something has to do with it? What does it really feel like to be on the wrong body? Surely, it must be something way more than what you want to wear? Just being curious :)
@senf37194 жыл бұрын
@@MagicStyleAtelier You're right gender roles have nothing to do with it, feminine men are still men and therefore feminine trans men are also men. Being a masculine woman doesn't make you trans. Stereotypes are used, because often it's experiences that trans people share, they also share them with gender non conforming people, of course. It's hard to explain what gender dysphoria feels like, it can be very suddle like not recognizing yourself in the mirror to wanting to rip your skin off, or just not being able to live a fulfilling life without medical intervention. People transition because their body doesn't feel right not because they like to wear dresses. There are trans men that like to do drag. Being gender fluid however is more about gender expression, as far as I know-

Mike 06 Actually scientists have re-evaluated their understanding of ‘sex’ chromosomes. Females can have XY without harbouring any male sex characteristics (internally or externally), and these individuals are not classed as intersex. SO... ‘Females’ can be XX or XY. That must mean that a female with XY chromosomes MUST automatically be a man by your logic... Right? Even if she is physically female, has a vagina, a functioning womb and produces female hormones like any other female born person. Shes a man because YOU say shes a man right. Do some research before you try to speak on issues you have no experience/ knowledge in man. Your comment is overused by many ignorant people such as yourself to bash on transgender people and lacks the acknowledgement of modern science.

Watching this video, I can see the glow of your real self coming through almost immediately after you started HRT and it warms my heart. I'm a trans guy and I'm very young still, nowhere near my end goal, but videos like this give me hope. It makes me so happy seeing people becoming who they truly are and knowing that one day I'll get there too ❤

I find it most important to include those before photos if you have them. Transitioning is about becoming who you are on the inside, on the outside. Letting it match who you feel you’re supposed to be. And anyone who was trans got unlucky in that department. But being able to transition and show that journey is a part of the name will really help those young and old become themselves for the world.

@Gary Lee I'm so sorry you feel this way. But I have plenty of professionals in my life that are helping me make changes with my body in a safe manner. Also, this kind of stuff has been scientifically proven. If science is also a delusion than everything else that involves science around you must be false as well. I'm sorry you cant understand that some people are just meant to be like this but good luck with your own life.
@Pocketsand995 жыл бұрын
@Gary Lee okay but once your past the age of eighteen you can go what you like. I am an adult. My family was destroyed long before I even thought I was trans. I have met plenty of healthy happy trans people who live great and fulfilling lives with their partners and families. There is a bad side to every good thing in life. I can guarentee you that I didnt just walk into a clinic one day and say "I'm trans!" And they just handed me testosterone. I've had a long period of therapy plus evaluations by more than one therapist. I can tell you from experience that this is the right choice for me. I'm not here to change your mind. Just to educate you :)

Gary Lee ‘Sex’ and gender are different. Gender is what we identify as, what we believe we are
@rainetaylor21645 жыл бұрын
@Gary Lee that's actually entirely false, cis women exist who were born female but have XY chromosomes. Sex is, scientifically, a bimodal distribution, not a binary
@rainetaylor21645 жыл бұрын
@Gary Lee Intersex is an edge case, as are trans people. You can't use "intersex is a birth defect" when most doctors think that being trans actually has similar causes to being intersex. Like do you even understand the basis of a disproof by counterexample? It doesn't matter if the male/female divide holds up in most cases as long as I can provide one example of it not holding up.
@rainetaylor21645 жыл бұрын

Jeremy Lee but to them it’s real! We don’t know what it feels like to be in the wrong body, just because they are uploading there journey onto KZbin etc doesn’t mean they aren’t genuine, that’s a horrible thing to say being we have no knowledge on what it’s like to feel like that, it’s 2020 everyone should be treated like equals no matter what gender or sexuality etc they are or want to be
