What is the biggest difference for you between the Male and Female Min Pin you have noticed?
@juanashannon31404 жыл бұрын
The male dog pee on everything and the female was a little calm but later in the years the male started to pee like the female dogs they are good dogs we don't hit our dogs never even if they didn't bad things like chew a hole in our new sofa yes that happened 1 time we only tell them bad boy or bad girl yes they rip a big hole in our new sofa we love them so much

I noticed, that the males might be more independent. Our male would just walk himself and our girls didnt want to leave my mother. They even follow her to the toilette :D

My male was notorious for deliberately peeing on things indoors but the female was perfect with her potty training. Female is better at listening to commands all around. Both sexes are escape artists. The male could get aggressive once in awhile with bones or strangers. The female was never aggressive, but she was also much more introverted. The male was a Velcro lap dog, so incredibly cuddly, and the female only wants to sit in my lap once in awhile. There are pros and cons to each, but honestly I think I enjoy the male a little more despite the fact he has more problems. It’s the affection! How can you stay mad at something so adorable, when he’s cuddling up to you and obviously loves you more than anything? The female is better-behaved, but I also feel like she spends too much time sitting in a different room avoiding me. I love them both so much.

I was a 1st time dog owner when I got my 1st min pin. He was a male and was 9 weeks old. He became diabetic at 15 and we also found out he had cancer. We did everything from insulin, special food and a mild chemo. He stayed with us to meet our son and spent his last year with him. We recently had to let him go because his body was shutting down. Hardest decision we had to make. He was 17.5 and the best dog ever! When we are ready we are going to get another min pin. Most loyal,funny and loving breed

8:48 I know that my min pin Annie is a living angel sent by God. When my husband of 50+ years passed away I was so alone I did not care to live. My son got me Annie through a Christian friend. She is 4 now and I love her unconditionally and she loves me the same. She is NEVER away from me. I have not been to the toilet alone in 4 years. She has to be touching me most all the time. I take her to the vet regularly and try to take perfect care of her. She is a perfect watchdog. She alerts to people or animals as I live in the woods and she is also the smartest dog ever. I have had dogs all my life but none as sweet as my Annie. I call her my daughter, not a dog.

My Min Pin is called Tom. He is the best dog I have ever had. He is a great guard dog and is bossy, protective, and ever so loving. He is now 10 tears old and is rather food obsessive. That is the only thing I have to be very strict with. But I live him with every fibre of my soul.

I have a male Min-pin (my first of this breed). He is incredibly loyal and loving. He was a challenge to house train but other than that he is perfect. He is very vocal with strangers but I consider that a good thing. He is tolerant of kids of all ages. He loves to snuggle. They need to eat twice a day , with a good protien and carb balance. There last five years of life, I added cooked oatmeal, and put warm water in there food to make it soft for there bowel movments, believe me it makes them feel alot better. Also be very careful at all times! around sliding glass doors so you don't injure them, there so fast. I hope I helped a little for all you new min pin parents.

I am not such a great trainer, but I think she is smart. stressing me a bit. pry cuz I don't see her as much as I would like. I rescued a female chocolate miniature pinscher chihuahua mix named Pixie in may. I got her 7 months ago and then she was 1 year and 5 months. I had to house break her, she can sit, lay down, come here, stand, speak. She still sometimes has accidents inside, but we are still working on that. Sometime she gets huge bursts of energy. Other times she relaxes. She can be very vocal as well. I bring her to the dog park to help socialize her and she prefers to play with small dogs, she will just not play with big dogs. She is still learning to probably walk on a leash because she is still more reactive on a leash. She can be very noisy at everything and very distracted, but I am determined to work with her. We have three cats as well, she LOVES them. She also is a huge cuddle bug. I can hold her in my arms when I go to bed. She knows all her human family members by name! She is very loving to anyone once she lets her guard down. She is the best decision I ever made and I will never give up on her. Thank you for these awesome videos. Happy new year!

I just bought a male min pin. I live in a one bedroom and he’s small enough that he gets tons of exercise just running through the rooms. I taught him to ring the bell to go outside. He does great. He learned to sit in about a minute and the last couple nights we’ve been working on putting his toys away. He loves being rewarded. Treats are key in training. He goes to work with me everyday and entertains himself in the crate next to me till break time. Which somehow he knows exactly when it is. Today I let him have free reign while I worked and when he wasn’t trying to hide his bone, he was snoozing next to me. I’ve never had such a good dog. He’ll be 5 months old on the 27th.

I like to make a comment here. I've "always" been a dog owner. But the Min Pin I have today, is my first "miniature" She is also my first female. But what I want to tell you, is that I adopted her 2,5y o. She was NOT trained in any way. Hardly been outside. No behavior training. She was dead scared of EVERYTHING!! And I mean everything. From people to a tree or birds. She didn't even know what to do, if the grass was too tall. I have been training dogs for a long time, but I do remember calling a friend after 1,5 months. Saying that Im not sure about this one. But she had one really good thing. She looked at me. And she was and still are a food junkie. This makes training a lot easier. And suddenly, one day we could pass people on the street, without her barking and trying to run home. From there it went fast. I had given out threats to friends and family. Every time we meet, they could give her something. Today I've had her for 3 years And she can go nicely without a leash. She is the BEST dog I have ever had, regarding (calling her name and make her come to me) She can come with me absolutely every day and everywhere I go. She is my ❤️ and my best friend. So never give up. You can teach a old dog new tricks. And even a extremely nervous Min Pin, can be your best friend. I often think of the learning curve she had. She absolutely must be a strong minded dog. So good luck with yours. And keep training!!

@@MinPinNation in my case it was a nightmare. They did not get along at ALL. I was afraid to leave my house and had to lock them in separate rooms all the time as both chihuahuas and minpins can be ferocious fighters. Shelter said it'd be a great match. Well it wasn't. Inform people that it doesn't have to do with breed. Dogs have personalities and not all personalities click, no matter the breed. Test it first. Have them play together, be together in a room, eat together before you decide. Its will save you and the dogs a lot of trouble, stitches and ridiculous vet bills.

I’ve had a male minpin and a female as well. My female is a lot bigger and more protective than my male was. My male was a lot more mellow and calm but still protective. While my female is more protective and she’s a lot bigger. She is also really aggressive. I definitely see a difference

I have a Male Chocolate Min Pin. I'm a first time owner and BOY. HE IS SO ENERGETIC. I love him so much, he's hard to train. I almost feel he has adhd. I got him when he was a puppy (10 weeks) and that was may of 2019. He's now a year and a half years old. I can't wait for the maturity and for him to slow down a little bit. But I'm also not looking forward to it. His name is Tuckee

I have a male minpin mix (chocolate and tan) he looks like a hairy minpin. I also think he has adhd. I got him at 3 months and my vet told me he would calm down by year 2. We are almost at year 5 and still psycho. I live at the dog park 2 hours a day and it has helped a lot. I also use doggie daycare. I have been offered CBD oil and Prozac. Not sure if this is abnormal energy for this breed.

I have males and females and differences really wary from dog to dog, depending if they grew up in a single-house hold, apartment in a city or a rural house with a fence and few other dogs. What does matter are the bloodlines. If you take Russian bred minipins, they mostly have Israeli inbreds - large bone structure, heavy heads with really good jawlines, strong musculature and usually bigger in size than what is acceptable now. They are very calm, working dogs. They do have smaller types as well from other bloodlines, usually hyperactive. The more ‘west’ you go, the smaller minipins get and likelihood of being related to a ratdog increases - more energetic, agile dogs. In the US or Asia - these are small toy dogs with toy dog heads, perhaps the only clue you get that it’s a minipin is their somehow active and clingy personality with separation anxiety. That’s why it’s important to purchase dogs from reputable breeders. Let them know your lifestyle so they can find a puppy that fits right with you. Some puppies are more active, some more melancholic. The breeder knows the dogs they’ve bred and lines they used and if minipin puppy is the right fit for you long-term.

Is it common for a female min pin to get fat after being spayed?
@nmartin55513 жыл бұрын
All min pins easily become fat from too many calories. An overweight min pin can develop Diabetes, and it can get severe crazy fast, fast enough to lose the dog before you realize what is happening. Cut back on calories, add baby carrots as treats, use canned pumpkin (not pumpkin Pie filling) to add fiber to the kibble so your dog feels fuller. The feeding amounts you see on dog food bag are to sell more food, not ensure proper weight, for your animal. If you can just about see your min pin’s ribs, the dog is proper weight.

@@twiztedmouth You are welcome. I became involved in Mn Pin Rescue because of my wonderful boy. I learned about the diabetic thing from the rescue director. I actually learned about the way pet food bags are “misleading” from a veterinarian when I had an obese cat. I wish you many many happy and healthy years with your pin.

We're adopting a female Min Pin in a few weeks. She's 6 years old and according to the owner she suffers from seperation anxiety. Any tips on how to help her cope and get her used to staying alone while we're at work? She will have our cat for company but I'm worried this won't be enough.

I have a male min-pin mix. He does not like strangers and wants to eat kids and bigger dogs. He will stick to me like white on rice. I think it’s because I run him on my bikes My wife and I have two different ways of disciplining him. I am more strict she coddles him. My dog sometimes grabs food and runs under the table and eats. Does anybody’s pin do that.

My girlfriend and I recently got a formal min pin, she’s 8weeks and she already seems to be attached to my girlfriends mother, she’s a tad bit jealous and we want to get her to bond with us more first than her mother. Now we are young being 20 and 19 not living together and have experience with dogs but she seems to be more drawn to her mother as of now wanting to lay with her but play with us. How can we fix this with some training and other tips..? Any advice would really help.
@MinPinNation4 жыл бұрын
Actually Fresh I would try not to worry to much at this point. Blitz actually did the same thing. I would recommend seeking out different bonding times with your puppy. Also make sure you start training them early as they will begin to learn who the true leader is. You guys got this! Keep me up to date. Also what is your precious Min Pin's Name?

Min Pin Nation she’s getting better at sleeping by herself here and there and sleeping with my girlfriend, she still sometimes cries for my girlfriends mom and when she wakes up in the middle of the night she doesn’t wanna go back to sleep, what would be the best method to get her more comfortable to fall asleep with my girlfriend (her mom really lol) because she falls asleep with my girlfriends mom like nothing. And Our Min Pin is named Freya 🥰

i have an issue, i have two daschunds, one large black male daschund and one medium sized female...the female is really aggressive towards strangers, but she really mothered my male daschund when we got him last year...my family and i agreed that the next dogs we adopt would be those of our male daschund's {mating him} because our female is neutered....he's still only one year old so he has a long way to go before we can mate him...the same person who gave us my baby boy (the male daschund - kylo) said he wants to give us a pinscher puppy....first i was really excited..but after i started my research...for some reason it feels off....anyone know why?

I adopted a 2yr female and I'm a female. She's the sweetest but, she can get hyper lol she broke out of the shell.. She barely barks,, only with the delivery guy and a neighbor that walks by. I guess bc I'm the adopter, she's closer to me than my husband.

I have two chocolate tan min pins my boy BUDDY just passed away 3/21/22 he was definitely a little man very much masculine traits, my girl is a little taller little lankier and very feminine clearly female traits just their behaviors alone clearly exhibited their genders, they are both very loving and affectionate and towards each other she would climb up on my lap and twist yourself around him and wanting him to kiss her and she would paw him saying come on Buddy how about a little kiss it was the funniest thing to watch. My little boy was 17 when he passed I can't begin to tell you the loss he had so much personality and love, he was as smart as a 5yr old child. Big personality that's why I called him Big Buddy

Is this based on your experience of ONLY the two minpins you own? I find it hard to believe that a female trains better just because she’s a female dog.
