I honestly hated the way they did her back story🙄 and completely distorted the original storyline (that crazy scene with the king at the end? Like really?) . Maleficent is perhaps the number one villain in Disney and could out master the rest, I hardly believe she would ever be someone who would have been soft enough. I understand they needed to invent a reason for her evil but I just felt it too unlikely. The same thing how Disney completely distorted the true story of Pocahontas (They took creative liberty on that one). They've done better villain backstories than this (Like Cruella) that have more a believable story line that connects to the animated feature.
