While some of you are going on an uproar talking about how Maleficent isn't green, I can tell half of the comment section didn't read the description to clarify what year this video was made. The "new" Maleficent released May 2014. This video was uploaded in 2012. She did the ORIGINAL Maleficent look. My god. No! She didn't! In the 1959 (ORIGINAL) full-length animation feature film, 'Sleeping Beauty' of Walt Disney, Maleficent was certainly NOT green at all! Her skin was greyish-light Mauve; the color of the dried skin I wud say. Look by yourself at the movie and the fotos!!! Neither the release posters nor the publicity materials show Maleficent with a greenish skin!!! Only a true fan wud notice that in the first place and not even once doubt it...without need to cross-check kuz we know it by heart😌! Maleficent was never of green complexion; neither in her conception by Mark Davis nor in her color editing by Eyvind Earl...and certainly not in the original Sleeping Beauty!!! Maleficent's character had to appear the more natural possible and had to fit in Eyvind Earl's works. So, I think her greyish skin wud match better her attire. + green looks too fancy for her. She is the Mistress of All Evil for crying out loud!!! She means business! She has to be serious and intimidating. And, green makes her look too much face-painted instead of her natural look. She appears more elegant, fresh, serious with that scary look😈😍😘❤. She had to match the background of Eyvind Earl. She had to fit the atmosphere and the ambiance; the occasion and the mood...tone...celebration...!!! Eyvind Earl was already pressurizing and seriously limiting the imagination of Mark with his strict requirements. She was in Mark's first sketch to have that same dark attire but with red flames to symbolise the fires of Hell. But Eyvind protested kuz it would be not at all match his work. Mauve was the trend for representing Royalty back then. That's y Queen Grimhilde, Maleficent and even Ursula were dressed in dark Mauve or Indigo. + dark black too was reserved for Royalty only. So, zat's y...+ Black'z always been elegance and all...Besides, these guys master the Chromatic Circle. They know that green is a total misfit to red!!! Her fotos were later edited to a light to dark green complexion; her fotoz from the original (very first) appearance in her first animation movie, 'Sleeping Beauty'!!! She was later depicted with a greenish complexion. It's only as from and in the 2008 illustrated text-story, 'Maleficent's Revenge' that she, for the very FIRST time appears with a greenish complexion. This continued in the Kingdom Hearts series as well. The 'House of Mouse' animation full-length feature film too continues that. Even Serena Valentino's Disney Villains Series novels out of which is the one about Maleficent's backstory, ' Mistress of All Evil: A Tale of the Dark Fairy', in which Maleficent is still being portrayed as having a greenish complexion. + Most of the modern publicity material (I would say as from after the conception of 'Maleficent's Revenge' till date) now depict Maleficent with a greenish complexion. Even now in Disney theme parks all over the world, Maleficent is still depicted in both greyish and greenish complexions. Some theme parks keep the greenish one and some the greyish one. But most astonishing yet, some parks keep both. Sometimes, even the previous ones keep both. So, what bigger proof than this do u need!!!??? Disneyland itself keeps both. As from 'Maleficent's Revenge', even Disney theme parks have begun to depict Maleficent with a greenish complexion. Some parks have completely stopped to portray Maleficent as still greenish because it changed to greenish and thus want to go with the flow. Some will not change and still keep the greyish and some yet and now more and more still keep the legendary greyish look but also adopt the later-given greenish look. Even Disney theme parks now acknowledges both!!! If Maleficent was of only greenish complexion in the first place, Disney would not have still kept her legendary greyish look!!! She would have been depicted only in greenish complexion. + all the publicity material back then of her having greyish complexion!!! Now, modern illustrations represent Maleficent solely as greenish complexionned because they think that's been her only true complexion. But no! It's the result of later editing and no apparent efforts from Disney to clear this misconception; to legitimize it's legendary greyish complexion!!! Everything isn't fake or false or we r crazy or mistaken!!! Facts are facts!!! It's the truth!!! Screaming ur guts out will not change the truth!!! Even if no public and official changes have been made or clarifications being given it doesn't mean that it is not true at all!!! Only you can't be right and all of us wrong!!!

It depends on you and you only as to which version of her u like the most or wud choose to love the most and take as a reference point. But for me, Maleficent loses all her fame, majesty and beauty the moment she is taken of her context and her context is such a style where everything is incorporated in the painting. Every minute detail is added. It gives out a whole idea of abundance and a creative and powerful and influencing era. It left it impact forever on us. It's the Renaissance Era. A revolutionary Era!!! Maleficent is really just the Maleficent of both Mark Davis and Eyvind Earle. If u take the later greenish Maleficent, it loses it's legendary glory!!! Maleficent is from the past. A lost era. An era that will never come back. An era that still and only lives only in our memories and imagination. The glory and success of Maleficent means nothing if it wasn't for Walt, Earle and Mark. If it wasn't a sheer success at its conception in 1959, nothing wud have been possible later!!! A true Disney fan shud take her first true depiction, validated by Earle, as his only reference point as later is not Maleficent; the true one!!!
