I finally made it through the Story mode. I credit dealing with the constant barrage of timber wolves in Black Rock to watching your episodes Zak. Without that it would have been completely overwhelming. Noisemakers became my best friend. Can't wait for episode 5.

I recommend entering that transition cave to Mountain Town and getting 7-8 coal before returning to camp office to fish as a goal. And by my count I think you need 5 more reishi teas to treat parasites. Best to do that sooner rather than later. And as a longer term goal, you may want to beachcomb CH and DP to try to find more antibiotics in case you accidentally get parasites again. Enjoyed the video!

The meat curing box is very powerful. I like it for processing an entire bear without the fuel consumption, and you can trade for it so I like to set it up at misanthropes for traded salt and local costal bear/wolves.

Hey Zak.. one thing i've noticed about the travois regarding slopes.. while dragging the travois, angle of attack is key... it seems like a 45 degree angle is the best way to attack slopes.. some slopes that are too steep tackling straight on, can be ascended or descended at a 45 degree angle... cheers

1:09:10 so, a important piece of advice, since bashrobe (who else would it be) tested it out: they do not respawn agter blizzards, they (limbs/sticks) respawn after a cetain timer is depleted. And if you ae in the area, wether with or without line of sight, they wont, till yoi either a) leave the area, or b)enter a building. Thats why we tought it was caused by blizzards, since when blizzards hits, we are most likely to search shelter inside a building, thus giving the impression they respawned im a blizzard. Thats also why theres no stick spawn on the little path between mountaineers and the lil deck inf rotn of it: we would see them respan, since it counts as inside, although theres no loading screen. Hust tought you would like to know, and if in doubt, just check bash's video.

When I get parasites (which is every run for some reason), I make a note in the calendar for every day that I took my meds, and this way I can easily monitor and make sure I take my meds every day.

FYI i found 4 batteries at Hibernia on Interloper, this was after already having found two that i used for Signal Void as well as part for the trader (before they dropped the cost for the Wolf Pants!).

Yeah, the patch notes said they added battery caches. I believe it was in Hibernia, on the repair thing in BR and in ZOC on the concentrator, though I might be mistaken

A tip for drinking teas: You only get the antibiotic benefit for completely drinking a tea. If you drink the tea most of the way and then cancel it, you get most of the warming up bonus and the vit C but not the antibiotic effect. This way you can save the antibiotic effect for the future at 0.1kg. I personally like traveling with these partial teas because they're lighter than full teas and antibiotics.

You should fish like pro (bashrope trick) on 4 tipups at the same time. 40 kg of fish in 12 hours. Don't forget to recycle your tipup when the decay is under 15 20 % to get back your scrap.

That's one the most extreme minmax mechanic in the game that I dont really like. You can get over 150kg food in the span of just 2 days (with minimal effort) and the time you'd have to use just to consume that is insane and takes kinda the fun and challenge out for me. But of course everyone plays their way and they should play how they enjoy

Started a new run to ensure bugs didn't mess up my long(ish) run. I have the bones by Trapper's but no bear spawned yet - only the Un Pond. Have not seen any rabbits by the cabin, just a few by the bear cave.

You can still place rabbit snares at the normal spot even though you don't see rabbits, at the trappers cabin on the hill, you'll still catch rabbits.

Regarding the Mystery Lake bears, at least in my run, the bear cave next to trappers still has its denoting bones in it, yet the bear that was there seems to no longer be spawning, and hasn't been for about 50 or so days.

Do not make a woodworking bench in the camp office. It has disappeared twice for me, the last time with the woodworking tools that were on top of the bench. Wait until the next patch.

I found out that the cougar countdown is cumulative. Spent a bunch of time in mystery lake, and then left for a long time, roaming around other areas doing stuff. Then I went back to mystery lake and after 1 day the cougar showed up.

I think the patch added some car battery caches in a couple locations. Not sure but maybe you can squeeze in the Curing Box to get it going while you work on your ailments? Then you can have some traveling food!

Not watched the whole thing but they did add more batteries. My interloper run (that to be fair hadn't been to the location yet) found almost enough for the old trades for wolf pants and the receipe. They were hidden around where they said they would be, but not all together (no spoilers =0)
