The craziest part about this game is how much difference competency plays in how frantic it feels. Watching you or someone like Accurize2, it's nearly meditative. Playing it feels like whack-a-mole with death haha. The only game I've ever played that makes me feel anxiety when deciding to play or not. Gotta get over that!
@ninja_tony Жыл бұрын
Lol that’s how I felt when I first played it too. I think the only way - or best way at least - to get over it is to die A LOT, because you will learn from every single mistake. The more often you die in the beginning, the more confidence you gain in your skills, and I would also say to never forget that every decision you make can have consequences down the road.

I really deeply enjoy the aspect of using the materials around and being a silent observer to the world, leaving the last human mark on it. The enjoyment you find from realizing that the materials like cat tails or rose hips for teas or consumption and creating your own safety is also huge. I do get you though, I honestly just use the knowledge of how the world works to reassure myself I'll be ok. That might help a bit. Good luck!

"Getting lost" reminds me almost exactly the times I got lost while hiking off trail in the mountains of Oregon. All of a sudden things don't look familiar, directions are confused until . . . they aren't. And reminds me just how dangerous it is to be out hiking around on off trail. Getting lost is extremely easy especially at night or other site impared conditions.

When you get out of the ice cave, there should be a rope attached to the left, I usually take that rope and attach it at the signal fire. That way you'll have a save route down if you don't have a hatchet or don't feel safe goating down the mountain. It also took me 5 days to get kind of familiar with the region but I managed it.

@@alices.7556 There is currently a bug in the game which makes the wind noise completely disappear at times. So clearly, there is a sound bug in the game and there might be others (snow shelter sound bug comes to mind). Unfortunately, Hinterlands doesn't communicate a lot with the players so all we have is speculation. Tough to know what is and what is not intended. I'd love it if I could tweak the relative sounds in the game. Even Zak commented how loud the waterfall sounds are. I personally find it painful to expose myself to that level of noise for too long. If I turn down the master volume, I can't hear animals and other important sounds.

Enjoying your videos quite a lot. I don't know much about the game so let me ask some questions. What exactly can be found at coast areas? Floating objects only or anything? I've seen people playing on easier difficulties and they always have packs of wolves in sight and have to shoot a lot to keep them away, while you have lone wolves and they and pretty much rare. Why is that a thing, or I'm just mistaken? Also, the greatest weapon of interloped is a bow? Nothing more?
@Zaknafein Жыл бұрын
Not sure what you mean by floating objects in coastal areas, sorry. On interloper there are fewer wolves but they are deadlier. You dont need to shoot to get rid of them. I have many tutorials on my channel if you want help with them :) And yes, only the bow on interloper.

In addition to what Zak said (and if I caught your drift correctly) the loot you can find when beachcombing is not only limited to (real world) buoyant objects.
