Genial souverän geführte Stimme! Toll gesungen! Schlüssige Interpretation! Habe mich immer schon gefragt, warum Rosina meist ziemlich unbeschwert-lustig dargestellt wird, obwohl sie doch grausam eingesperrt leben muss. Die Wut, der Zynismus und das Durchtriebene von Ernmans Interpretation erscheinen da psychologisch deutlich stimmiger!

Der zunächst etwas albern anmutende Sturz dürfte ein Anspielung auf die Premiere im Jahr 1816 sein, bei der ein Sänger auf offener Bühne über eine Luke stolperte. Rossini wurde dabei ausgepfiffen. Aber dann wurde "Der Barbier" für über 200 Jahre eine der beliebtesten "Opera buffa". Die verdient die künstlerische Höchstleistung einer Melana Ernman.
