Okay so here me out because this is the Yuri story thus far in my opinion Headache - Yuri saw chara who she assumed was an innocent child and saw their knife. She was trying to keep her lust for knives in check while also trying to get it away from Chara. Now due to the very nature of the FNF universe Chara can't simply kill Yuri but could manipulate her so challenges her to a typical FNF battle which she lost. Headache was the song used because Chara was digging their claws into Yuri's head Expurgation - Yuri (not in her right mind) followed/Stalked Nene to somewhere in Nevada (which in the friday night funkin universe is the Madness Combat Nevada) to get her knife. After she was killed because Yuri was briefly possessed by chara or because Nene is Nene (she get killed a lot in Pico's School apparently) she was disappointed that what she had an ordinary knife Nerves- Yuri saw the interesting Knife Tabi had and wanted it and was almost possessed by Chara. However Tabi despite not being the trusting sort saw a girl working through some issues and kind of understood and told her to take a deep breath and used the song Nerves as way to get her to take several. After that they became friends then parted ways. Gospel- It's been awhile since they seen each other but Tabi noticed something up with Yuri and tried to sing Nerves again but it didn't work so he decided to sing Gospel with her to calm her down because a fast song like Gospel would help her take more deep breaths Ectospasm- Unfortunately and despite neither having the ability, Gospel is a song that can open portal and the duo were thrown into the retrospecter realm or hell (I'm not entirely sure what Retrospecter deal is). Still not calm from singing Gospel, Tabi decided to get Yuri to calm down by singing Ectospasm. The downside of this is that Ectospasm as a song hurt the one not starting it. One last thing of note was that Tabi saw a shadowy figure almost controlling Yuri. Accelerant- After being spit out of the retrospecter realm and back in Nevada Tabi outed the shadowy figure which we all know is Monika. She claimed to be Yuri friend which Tabi called bull. In classic FNF fashion Tabi challenged Monika to get her to stop messing with Yuri which she agreed to. Now the pens that appear in accelerant is Monika trying to delete Tabi as a character but can't multitask. Endless- Now Yuri is free of Monika so she and Tabi can take her down to which Monkia laughs at the notion. She decides to have fun with them and bring them to the Majin Sonic dimension to sing endless just to show how powerful she is. Because why else would a sane person- from an in character perspective- sing endless. Edit: After much deliberation with myself I decided to do Neuroses Neuroses- As I typed for Accelerant Monika was multitasking, not just with trying to delete Tabi while singing Accelertant but also trying to take control/delete Yuri in Neuroses. The reason for it being Neuroses because Yuri told Tabi (before they departed in Nerves) it felt like theirs a voice in her head commanding her to do wicked things (it was most likely chara) to which Tabi instructed her to sing Neuroses to herself. As a song Neuroses can stop mind control and even exercise anything trying to take control of you. The reason Monika disappeared was due to Yuri winning and Tabi screaming die to Monkia (I don't have a logical explanation for this so let's say its due to the need of dramatic flare in FNF songs)

this makes sense, but i have a small detail that would make endless fit a bit more: the mechanic notes are yuri's which makes me think for this lore, it would make more sense for monika to still have slight control and be using it to try to sabotage yuri and tabi
