here's an interesting question that crossing sits right by ADM across from George koch but down the line about a couple of blocks there's another entrance to ADM or the hopper trucks come out and it's only got wooden cross bucks I wonder why that one is gated because a lot of cars come in and out of it?

I would imagine that the safety levels of crossings that serve private businesses are at least in part determined by the businesses involved. The crossing in this particular video serves Mead Johnson Nutrition and is heavily used by both employee/visitor passenger vehicles and semi trucks. The ADM (and Port of Evansville) crossing down the street that you mentioned (where Wabash Avenue spills into Ohio Street) isn't as heavily used, and it's possible that the private entities involved are fine with their crossing simply being crossbucks and Yield signs. It is certainly a stark contrast to the MJN crossing though!

I just hate it when trains stop for long periods of time with no good reason other than to block off crossings so no one can get across. Suppose there was an emergency out in that area, no help could get there because the train was stopped and no emergency vehicle could get there. The police should be ticketing the railroad companies, and fining them hefty amounts.

All sorts of problems. A derail could be lined against them, the signal could be red. A dispatcher hasn't granted them clearance to proceed through the signal, it could also be a crew change which can take some time. Engineer can only go the max for 12 hours each day along with the conductor.
