I bought a bookshelf on Walmart.com and it shipped from New Jersey, and I got a notification 2 days ago saying that my delivery got rescheduled, and they don’t know when it will be delivered. The last status it has is arrived at LAX. It was scanned literally 9 hours after the crash. It was supposed to be delivered today. (Friday) now it says unknown. My book shelf was in a plane crash 😱

Besides the dumping of fuel which Fedex 1026 flight didn’t do, but I still find it funny that the pilot jumped out and injured his leg and then moments later a stair case truck is brought up 😂😂

@@stonew1927 It makes a difference because it is a part of radio etiquette. I'm sure someone will back me up with better terminology. You are correct about the degrees, but its simply how it is said and there is also a safety reason behind it. Often times audio sent through radio channels have the potential to lead to a misinterpretation. For example, 13 could be misinterpreted for thirty instead of thirteen.

The aircraft originated in Newark so by the time they landed they had about an hour of fuel left so they didn't need to dump or burn off fuel. They did fly around a bit to go through their checklists and to talk to the company maintenance. They also attempted to get the gear down by "bouncing" the aircraft down and up (no passengers, just cargo). The airport was able to open the longest runway, 25R, for them, it had been closed for maintenance.

Numbzinger a) that WAS a real emergency, b) he was probably told by the captain to jump and already advised ATC that he was going to jump, c) you can see there was fuel leaked out onto the runway. They couldn’t have known that their plane may end up engulfed in flames. (There were also no passengers on board so they didn’t have to wait to evacuate.)

B767 aircraft can dump all the fuel in the center fuel tanks. The wing tanks hold 80,000 pounds so anything above that can be dumped.

Depending on what dictionary you are using, the runway can also be considered "tarmac." There are some airports that actually use tarmac for the runway.

Aklce Queen.....Ocean or any body of water. Considering that sparking and jet fuel don't make for a good combo, this is always done in these situations to reduce fuel load to a minimum.
