After listening to the podcast, all I hear whenever Chris says Tiri's name is that song. THANKS CHRIS. (Ice Golem seemed pretty oppressive; MVP to Chris' heart for withstanding that)

The clear MVP of the match was the ice golem with his blizzard, it clearly defined the pace of the game and drained Tiri's resources. I think a runner's up award should be handed to the december acolyte for getting rid of the first light in one activation that really switches off one of Tiri's key mechanics.

Ah damn I wanted to mention as a tip for Raspy to get She of two skins XD But you beat me to it by already having a copy. Lovely model, got to play her a bit in one henchmen hardcore game I run as a demo and I hope to get her more to the table :) The only thing nagging me is that I'm having trouble getting my hands on a Ten peaks box - I have raspy's core and the ice golem box and she of two skins and am really hoping my FLGS will be able to find copies of Ten peaks and her title version at some point (they don't carry Malifaux, but they'll order a box from thier distributer if I ask them for it and they said they'll keep an eye out for those two boxes coming back in stock for the distributer). Now onto the actual match to see who deserves to be an MVP ;)

The MVP is absolutely the Ice Golem. Denied points and was a huge tanky beast plinking off wounds all around it.

MvP is hands down the Ice Golem. Kept waiting for it to shatter but it was granny that was shattered instead.

Oh yes, my favourite two masters dueling it out! MVP for me is of course in terms of effectiveness the Ice Golem, not sooo much to discuss here. However, two questions, if you could answer them: The middle of the board was very open here, maybe this was a map that didn't have enough severe terrain in order to make its advance more difficult? Second question, for Chris this one: Wouldn't Tiri 1 be disgusting against the Ice Golem, as she can Off the Path it up to 8 inches away? No backseat gaming here, just honest curiosity :) Glad you guys keep the Batreps coming. I'd love to see just more, the quality is just top notch, love them!

No probs, apologies for the speedy reply I'm on my break but - 1) There is never much in the middle of the boards, it hinders the viewer's perspective on camera and gets in the way of us putting cards down etc. Secondly, with two masters who were going to spam markers it wasn't as much of a priority. We sometimes do more severe-heavy boards, but it's not worth blaming the table in hindsight as there's a million different ways things could have played out even if they were there. 2) I might be mis-remembering but both Chris was/is learning with Tiri2 first. I'm sure T1 could throw the golem 8" but then again it probably wouldn't be sat there with it's aura so often. Hope that helps!

For what it's worth, by my count, Tiri and crew did 33 damage to the Ice Golem before reduction. He tanked all that plus a Tyrant's Cage.

remember with Raspy 2 that she hands out shielded whenever a push happens. This counts on the charge moves too. so sometimes doing a charge instead of a normal walk is worth it to just get the extra shielded even if no attack occurs.

Damn this game made the Golem seem like the most broken unit I have ever seen in Malifaux. Although I could see it having a bit more trouble against crews with alot of range dmg.

Like any other golem it'll go down like a sack of spuds to any anti-armour. It's also waaaaaaay too many stones for many of the current GG's scheme pools.

Uff... Seen the kind of damage that Blizzard did, wouldn't it have been better to not flip to Embrace Technology and make use of the "Lift Gate" version of the Mass Distortion Device? This way the Blizzard would have been nullified...
