I think, in the US, you guys could make Silat Sport it's own brand open to everyone who practice Silat or not. I mean, Silat Sport itself is a form of martial art like WTF in Taekwondo (or Judo in Jujitsu). So instead of opening different perguruan/schools of various Silat, just open Silat Sport training centers that trained standardized sport version of Silat. From what I see in your videos (and Deen TV), for now you guys only coming from Silat Al Azhar, so the potential is very limited and you only have one style. So in this way, you have more athletes in Silat Sport no matter from what perguruan/schools they're or they even learn traditional Silat in the first place. You will also open up to more styles and strategies from various peoples who joined you.

I agree. We are actually doing that now. But are not many perguruans in USA and they are very spread apart.

@@sportsilat In that case just make Silat Sport as it's own martial art open to all, become like WTF. Name it "American Silat" or something. So you guys have to make standardized curriculum, grading and training equipment, all in American way.... If have more money can make drama or movies like Karate Kid/Cobra Kai to promote it. 😁

Basically, if you want to participate in the sport of pencak silat, you must first attend the main martial arts college. the point is for self-identity and as a condition for participating in the championship. it is very important for a fighter to have a college identity because there are hundreds of different styles of pencak silat. I hope I can help you better understand the customs and rules in especially in Southeast Asia.

@@pdskanesa9524 I am suggesting that joining the traditional school is not a requirement for Silat Sport because "Silat Sport" itself becomes a form of legit martial art, by means when joining Silat Sport, no need to attend any traditional schools. For example WTF-TKD, Judo, Kendo...all these are sport version of the traditional art, you don't need to attend Jujitsu class when you learn Judo.
