Tillman has a lot of highlight-worthy plays, but he's also had a lot of lows this year and gets forced off the ball to easy. If he can do what you see in the video just a bit more consistently and get stronger overall (which will probably happen with time anyways since he's young), he could be a really damn good player. Already is, but I could see tops teams looking at him as an option eventually if all goes right

He's got serious skills, it's shocking how unimpressive he's been with the national team. Tillman's one of those players I can't help but feel is underperforming as a result of Gregg's system, but maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about.

Athletically dominating a bunch of MLS quality players on MLS quality teams, while playing for a superteam where if he makes a mistake well, all the other players have the same advantage in their positions. I like that he brings some athleticism that is missing from the USMNT too often, but I am not going to be sold on this until he's playing against players of similar size and speed. Can we get some Busio or Tessmann highlights?

I don't think he's particularly athletic. He get's forced off the ball too easy, but working on strength and awareness over time should help with that. He has potential, but I'm not quite sold either

@@rg5886 I see someone forced off the ball it's because the game is going too fast for him. That's why I'm not sold on this guy. I don't think I'm seeing anything that translates up a level. And the Eredivisie is just not a good league anymore. There are some good teams at the top, but even that's less true than it was in the past.

@@geenstresss Not necessarily, but at the time Busio and Tessmann were fighting to get promotion for Venezia and so unlike the Eredivisie, the games played by those two players actually mattered and were competitive. Whereas the only games for American players in the Eredivisie that matter are European competition.
