You need to teach him to be gentle with Ella. He needs to learn to respect her and be nice to her. Tormenting animals isn't good. This is your responsibility as the parent to teach and reinforce it over and over again. My daughter (21 months) is very gentle with our cat, thankfully our cat is pretty patient with her (she hates anyone that isn't me, husband or daughter).
