I dont want to be rude i loved the first season but the girls from the second season were just stronger i need to be honest. They were much more talented. It was not that Malika was not good but when the new girls came, they ate her up in singing and dancing. I feel like DK was made perfectly and the numbers proof that the band was 100% right. What broke them was the competion mode, Diddy always put pressure on them and he never paid them he treated them like shit. But DK could not had Better mebers then Shanon, Dwoods,Dawn,Andrea and Auberey. Commercially and internationally, international wise it was a perfect move. Plus out of the Making The Band Seaons they sold the most unites you cannot say not one of them didnt deserved to be in the band.

I LOVED Malika but there’s a few things I wanna point out: -I honestly feel that Indeed she should’ve made the band or been offered some type of solo project. -For someone who’s mainly a rapper, her singing voice was GOOD and the raspiness was amazing. -I thought it was a little funny that on her first season she didn’t choose the most powerful singer amongst the girls which was Aundrea, and who would still be the most powerful singer in the actual band. -Loved her confidence, but I didn’t like the little downplay on how she thought Dominique could not “replace” her in the actual band. Dominique was a better singer, and although they made her out to be a “horrible” dancer, my girl could do a 1,2 step. So she could’ve taken her spot. -Her thinking that Dominique was happy that she couldn’t harmonize, was a bit odd. How could one whos doing a/being judge on a group project be happy of someone’s downfall, when that’ll jeopardize all of them? I also agree with what Kaui said on the show, she was from the previous round she should have worked on that. Not always a line can be fed for you to be on point. -The last part about the victims wasn’t my favorite, because the “throwing” themselves and “talking about it after the fact”, didn’t sit right. We don’t really know why it took them so long to talk about it and what they were doing or who they were helping that forced them to stay there. Mr. Twixt, THANK YOU for doing this. You keep being awesome as you are.

Once i saw the second batch of girls in season 2 i knew more or less who of the first 3 chosen from season 1 even stood a chance. however he could have made a group that first season but it wouldnt have been what he (Diddy) was looking for. Aubrey, Aundrea, Dawn, and Shannon always stood out as far as looking good together everyone brought something talent wise. D woods was like the wild card. she had all the goods but was rarely shown through the edit we saw on tv. i thought Tiffany was gonna take that spot till she hurt her hip and was underage.

Danity Kane was like the Power Rangers: different personalities that appeal to different people and when they come together its magic. DK was perfectly crafted. Double Platinum albums (would have been more if they didnt break up) and an international fanbase that still rides for Danity Kane through fights, people leaving, reunion tours years later etc. Hmm this should be an interesting sit down. Listen I enjoyed Malika. Hopefully the rest of this doesnt come across as dimissive about the girls who made it, based on what some of these comments are saying.

I loved Malika. I never thought she was a fit for that type of group. I see now that they kept her around for ratings because she has a great personality. Season two was definitely better, but Diddy could have had a group from the first season. Also, MTV was the birth place of reality TV. Real World and Road Rules had been running for at least 10 years by the time MTB came on. So they had the money to make sure the girls lived comfortably while in the house. Diddy pocketed that money. Just ridiculous. So they got played. Diddy struck gold with MTB.

Malika has such a unique tone for me, she is a better solo Artist. Her spirit is perfect for a group, but she shines solo more. She has a raspy, soulful voice. Reminds me a little bit of Mary J Blige, if I would have a Label she would have been one of the Artist I would sign because she has something as a solo Artist. She just doesn't fit in a group, that's my opinion.
