i remember being at bradley airport, leaving for florida for april vacation my senior year of high school in 1995...the women huskies had just arrived after winning the national title and the whole airport gave them a standing ovation as they walked by, pretty cool moment

I was at Southern Connecticut State University from 1990 -1996, I saw every game on tv, I was living 2 blocks from the Yale Bowl when I watched the championship game, I broke my laundry hamper watching it, Lobo sat with 3 fouls most of the first half if I remember....

Linwood Russell That's right! Thanks, man! Went to school with the Berubes and know the family well from back in the day in Oxford, MA! In grade school, high school, college, and as a college coach, the girl just doesn't know how to lose!

I'm a newby to UConn mania, amazing run, a great run (and it's not over!). To see Jamelle playing (she's a beast), and now to see her on the bench coaching, how great is that. One thing I noticed at the end of the clip, the Tenn mascot, raised the UConn mascot's arm/paw/hand for the victory; pretty classy move there. Thank you, Mr. Russell for sharing this!

I was at the Grand Canyon with my dad and new born son. We watched the game at the lodge. it was a beautiful spring day and we had one of the most spectacular views on the earth 100 yards away- and there we were, the three of us, sitting at the Bright Angel Lodge in a dark room watching this exciting event. what a treat.

Uconn WBB begins with these ladies. They're the fundamental foundations of Women Basketball Epic Center. I love you guys, Rebecca, Jen, Jamelle, Nakisha, Walter, Barube. Can't remember anymore names sorry! Thank you Linwood for the video.

Linwood Russell Linwood, you're one lucky dog literately! I'm envy of you. I have to watch the last Monday game against Louisville from the Nethelands via ESPN3 Streaming LOL!

Have been a UCONN Ladies BB fan since the days of Jen, Rebecca, Pam, Nykesha, Kara, Jamelle, Carla and all. Linwood, I too was in Nashville for the 9th as well. I live there now and being an unabashed Lady Huskie fan in the Volunteer state is quite a rewarding adventure :)

Loved this game. This was the year I discovered UConn women's basketball, and I've been watching ever since. I don't know why the makers of this documentary thought having the woman narrator talk like she was reading at story time to a bunch of children would make it sound good. They should have nixed the corny background music and just let us listen to the commentators and the crowd, and just have the narrator sound like a human being. ;)

Most of the players for this year team (2017) weren't even born yet when this game was played. Do you believe it?

7:02 Stepped over line on inbounds pass
@LinwoodRussell6 жыл бұрын
Yes, she never stepped on the court... It was a jumped pass from out of bounds.
@torosloan226 жыл бұрын
She landed before the ball was caught. Should have been a violation. Outcome of game probably doesn't change. But Tennessee should have had ball out-of-bounds down 4 (68-64) with about 10 seconds left.
@LinwoodRussell6 жыл бұрын
the ball wasn't in her hands... the ball was live. Just like if the ball is over the line and clearly out of bounds. they don't call it until it lands out of bounds.
@torosloan226 жыл бұрын
I now see what you are saying. It is close. But you might be right.

I thought she was in bounds also at one time... That's why I know. :-)
