He explained that before one learns the moves, one learns the mental disciplines as well as the philosophy behind the moves. He further explained that if the sensei feels that a potential client wishes to learn the moves for the wrong reasons, said client will not be accepted as a student. Johnny's issues with Robby are no concern of the salesman. A real martial artist would not have acted as Johnny did and my original point rests. Johnny should have been arrested, charges should have been pressed and Johnny should have given the maximum sentence that law and precedent allow. The same goes for Eli. He has clearly forgotten where he came from and what it is like to be bullied. Regardless of what he posted about the dojo, a real martial artist would not followed Eli's negative example. Eli richly deserved the blow he received at the end of the clip. Finally, with regards to being a statist, I consider myself to be a conservative with strong libertarian sympathies. Views such as yours (which you have, and should have, the right to hold and express) not only discredit the larger martial arts community, but give an excuse for the statist to further erode the right to self-defense. Edit: Also for the record, I've liked what I've seen with Cobra Kai and plan to start watching the whole series soon, and I liked Power Rangers growing up and really liked PR 2017 movie.
