Good morning That’s a brilliant idea with the Beach project

Suggestion, organize a One Day Beach Cleanup with many of your Guyana fans ( you never know how it will inspire the nation). A few hours will make a different picking up the trash. The tourists staying at those hotels, will love it walking on a clean beach and I believe it will make the residents proud. Your country is beautiful.

Denny I agree with you and the garbage situation. It's terrible when we were there to see all that trash on the beach. No 63 the same thing, it's sad. These are the places tourists visit so they should try and get them in good condition to have good reviews. Set it up to even charge a small fee that can go back to the maintenance !

Denny, can't wait to Lime on that beach again. But I really hope that garbage situation gets better. Maybe they should put up some garbage cans so people can put their garbage in.

Living in Washington DC, whenever I go home and to the Sea Wall I always complain about the Guyana seawall, what you said is spot on. They also needs trash cans throughout the Sea Wall
@tyronelowe70902 жыл бұрын
Nice video of the waterfront. Thanks. We agree with beautifying the beaches. It's probably going to happen sooner or later. Hopefully it will be done professionally because the forces of the ocean needs experts to design and structures like sea wall and board walks. The clean up should be the responsibility of the authority. The question is which authority is responsible? Is it the ministry of tourism or the city of Georgetown?

Last time I visited Guyana 20 years ago, my colleague who visited with me ( mind u he is not Guyanese) said why we don’t market this. It’s huge waste of income for the government and people. Here we are 2022 and still not much done. Appreciate the vlog Denny.

well the council need to provide more garbage bins, no 2 they need to employ 4 men with a truck to clean the beach every day, next they need toilets for people

Although you don't have beautiful blue waters surrounding Guayana the government has to at least clean up those beaches

The guy that used to clean the beach passed away a few years ago. It’s truly sad when people don’t respect their surroundings.

It's not only the beaches that have trash....I've seen it on streets etc. I remember Guyanese maintain their homes and yard spic and span....the same should be done in public spaces.

You made a good point I thought about that long time ago if they put people to work there that would be so nice because the developing all these big fancy hotels charging you so much money to spend time there so I think that's a good idea I'm going for that idea also

Terrible condition of the beach.One day clean up is the problem. The beach need clean regularly by city workers - provide jobs for the people.Also garbage and recycle containers to prevent littering.Educate the people.Get environment students involved as their work study programme.

Also to be fair ..slot of that garbage is probably garbage being washed up on the shores which are not necessary garbage thrown by the locals
@Gemz00012 жыл бұрын
That's fair to say. However....it's not an excuse for each of us not to do our part as well. Practice good habits!

Boardwalk not going to be sustained with the high water tides.
@howcanlifegetbetterthanthi65812 жыл бұрын
Have you ever wondered how the sea walls sustained the tides ? Maybe same way the boardwalk can survive the tides if they build it properly
