All kinds of music is finished. Instrumentation is annoying and vocals are reduced to out of tune screaming. Old classical music vocal and instrumental will never die, thank god.

Begum sahiba ghajal gayaki ki malika theen. Isliye andaz alag tha. Maine aaj tak ghajal main kisi ko bhee Begum Akhtar ji jaisa gate nahin suna. Ghulam ali sahab ya mehandi hasan bhee nahjn. I may be wrong but that is what I feel.

You are absolutely entitled to your opinion. I agree with you that Begum Akhtar was a unique and remarkable ghazal singer and excelled in ghazal, thumri and dadra. I wish I understood Urdu and Hindi to appreciate and enjoy listening to ghazals more.
