No. The first part of the performance is "E pyari pag hole" in Bihagada. The druta bandish is "jhan jhan jhan payal baaje" which is a standard and very popular chiz in Nat Bihag. It was recorded commercially by Mallikarjunbua on an lp, and it has also been performed by many other artists. Ustad Faiyaaz Khan's 78 rpm recording is particularly noteworthy. Bua was very fond of singing a bada khyal in a Bihag prakaar and then following it with this chiz in Nat Bihag.

While the Faiyaz Khan renditions of Nat Bihag remain in a class by themselves, and there are some outstanding performances by Asad Ali Khan of Agra and others (including a fine takeoff by SD Burman in Bengali that he then also got Lata Mangeshkar to do in Hindi, with suitable help from Shailendra, for Buzdil), there is something special and truly uplifting when Mallikarjun Mansur sings this - the beatific expressions on his face say it all. The longer versions are perhaps more satisfying, but whenever I need to cheer myself up in less-than-five-minutes, this always works. झन झन झन झन पायल मोरी बाजे जागे मोरी सास ननदिया और दौरनिया हा रे जिठानिय। अगर सुने मोरे मगर सुने sune मोहम्मद साह पिया झन झन झन झन पायल मोरी बाजे

@rjhunjhu A simple and straightforward person, Punditji was known for his innocence and ability to mix very easily with members of his fraternity and outsiders, especially, the younger folk.I heard & see him n no of times.His mastery over the traditional & non-traditional forms of almost all the gharanas made him a favourite among Classical Music lovers.
