She has an amazing voice! I loved Laura Dreyfuss as Zoe, and she will always be who I picture when I think of Zoe. That being said I am amazed at how good the current cast is. The roles-the teenager in the show at least- are played by actual teenagers, which is beyond amazing.

That’s EXACTLY what I thought when the very first video of Mallory singing Requiem was released. She’s my Zoe, and Andrew Feldman is my Evan Hansen. I love how they have used actual teenagers and hope they do the same if they make a movie.

This is how the song is used in the novelization. She sings it for Evan at her very first...open mic nite? Something like that. Similarly, Requiem is just her singing it alone in her room. ...Well, writing it actually. If you listen to the audiobook, Mallory sings them, just like here. Tho, sadly, I think she stops at the part where Evan would normally join in. So it's cool to finally hear her sing it as a complete song.
