Even through all his troubles you could see how much he loved her, he would’ve done literally anything for her. She was busy wanting to be in the spotlight for everyone, while she was his only one. She pretty much put the blame of their divorce on his addiction, but I honestly have a hard time believing that’s the full truth. He deserved so much better, so much more. May he rest peacefully.

What killed me was when she told the story about how when she was working at MAC and had no money and.used to go to the Ulta and fantasize about owing a makeup brand…yeah, the Ulta that _literally did not exist._ I don’t understand why she just blatantly lies about things that can so easily be refuted. But then, I’ve known JH was a liar for _years._ Ever since her sister ran the Jaclyn Hill’s Closet IG and used to post photos of what Jaclyn was wearing in her videos with affiliate links and for years JH lied and denied that she or anyone associated with her ran that account. Until one day the JHC IG made a post with the photos and links for what Jaclyn was wearing in her newest video…except OOPS! _the video hadn’t been posted on JH’s KZbin channel yet!_ LIES! Jaclyn Hill has lied, cheated, stolen, plagiarized and manipulated for YEARS. And the _one thing_ she’s learned from being on KZbin for 15 or whatever years (And this came straight out of her own mouth) is how awful people can be. Yep. Not how she appreciates her audience and knows that she wouldn’t be where she is without them. Not how blessed she is. This is so. Good. I’m so sick and tired of Jaclyn’s narcissistic sociopathic ways. I could not believe the amount of comments on her video that said “that’s right girl you’ve gotta take care of yourself. You’ve gotta look out for yourself.” And my response to that was….that is ALL she’s ever done. She has destroyed peoples lives and businesses. And has not apologized to them. They will never call her out or hold her accountable because she’s funding their lifestyles. I remember years ago the women that had a channel that were calling out Jaclyn on everything she had done. They were doing deep dives, thoroughly researched, all facts…and they were about to drop a huge expose video and the channel disappeared. Jaclyn’s lawyers and team shut everything down and claimed it was destroying her mental health. Pathetic. Maybe she shouldn’t have lied and stolen for so long and her mental health would be better. I watch 10 minutes of a JH video several years ago and it was enough for me! Never watched an entire video of hers and never will. My time is precious and I spend it on things and people who I connect with and who are genuine. I had a conversation with my husband last night about how, as hard as it might be sometimes, I want to be authentic and live in an authentic way, not pretend just to please people. The danger of pretending is that you attract things/people/jobs that are no aligned with your values, and I have no time or energy for that! I try to be forgiving of people/businesses in new spaces like social media, but its 2023 and content creation and online marketing aren't new and it doesn't need to be the wild-west any more. outside of the occasional grwm and gossip like this one, I try to keep the rest drama free as it should be ❤️

Nope, I sure wouldn’t plaster anyone’s brand at my wedding. But I always see people plaster the Chanel logo (cakes, books, diy art, etc. ) everywhere including in their homes and on their cars. I honestly don’t give a crap. It isn’t my stuff. And as far as anyone accepting “sponsored” gifts or anything else for their wedding, I’ll guarantee every influencer gets “gifts” from brands up the wazoo whenever they get married, have a kid, hit subscriber milestones, blah blah. Who cares? You mad? Jealous? I’m not. I’ve been lucky to have nice things and worked in an industry where I was often gifted expensive things. My favorites were always season tickets to professional sports and theatre shows. It was a perk of my profession and I appreciated it and earned it. Look at the gifts y’all get on the regular from brands. Influencers call it PR, but to us watching it definitely seems like a “sponsorship” of some kind (or excuse me, “gift”). Most of us out in the real world don’t get free stuff for us to make revenue from by doing our daily jobs. You get to use the free products for free content creation. Be happy for one another. Don’t get petty. I would love to see how many “influencers” there would really be if they had to buy every product themselves. I would guess that the only ones we would really see would be those who were independently wealthy before taking on the job. I could care less who Makayla is or what she did with her own wedding. I think it’s gross that others care so much. And honestly, do you disclose every detail about your personal life and finances with everyone who asks? Who does? I’m not defending her. I just hate hearing judgement about stupid things like that. Stick to calling out the ones who are actually hurting people like Jaclyn. All the rest just looks like gossip and pettiness. Which is why everyone thinks the beauty community is dead since that’s all we hear is pettiness and drama. Sorry, but you asked us to comment our opinions on the Elf wedding situation. 🤷‍♀️

The toxic beauty community on KZbin is what destroyed my love of makeup. I stopped buying as a makeup junkie in mid 2018 and became a causal consumer. I never buy influencer endorsed products because, quite frankly, I don’t trust influencers. The damage has been done and the aftermath is slowly being felt.

Also personally today - I’m in SHOCK at Makeup Shayla! Basically she was in Maui. We all know the fires happened in Maui - while she is there. she didn’t post one thing about her condolences, Her concern that she was sorry for any of the people affected, any relief fund - NOTHING! She posted four stories about how she’s good. She even said the words “ les told me that the fire is contained, and all of the people can go back to their city..” GO BACK TO THEIR CITY?! She kept saying ‘my little girl dream’ because who is going to say anything against someone’s childhood dream? She is a bad person and the fact that she still has over 5 million subscribers on KZbin is shocking. She does not care about her fans, she only cares about the money she’s made from them and now that she’s faced a longer term adversity with people calling her out for stealing from other women any time she posted anything for Koze or her jewelry line. As someone who "got into" beauty youtube very late (panini), I saw the "big" creators at a former friends place. To be explicit, Voldemort and I don't know what hysterical squeaking woman, it was hilarious! I laughed my rear end off and my former friend was pissed, because she idolised those people. That was the last drop for me and I left. Everytime I see these people, that narcissistic circle of drama salespeople, I can't believe that they have fans! Jacklyn is one of them, she comes off to me, that she loves herself so much, that she thinks she is on stage like a guru, pushing sales. I can highly recommend a basic marketing course, coursea has free ones, once you know the tricks, you become very disgusted by their behaviour. And what really gets me, is that this behaviour Jacklyn, Voldemort, Pedocharles etc is so common in the states! When you break it down to the basic "tricks", you see them in so many. Politicians, priests, musicians etc. I don't know why they have "fans", just don't get it... The community is not dead, people just see that those are toxic. Their behaviour rubs off on their viewers. Especially since it became this parasocial relationship thing. Like in real life, show me your friends and I know hwo you are. Show me who do you follow and engage online with and I also know who you are. Once I see someone I follow doing a Manny thing or the likes, I unsubscribe. I love honest reviews, creativity, personality etc. I mean, Audra can't sell me anything, because I'm like a sheet of paper besides her, but I love her personality, creativity and it brings me joy to watch her videos. You on the other hand are my skintone depth and a mua, your videos are so informative for me and since I found you, my make-up game levels up and up!
