I tried the Airstrait this last weekend and I have curly waist length hair and I am shooketh. The results were soft straight hair that I’m still wearing and it’s Friday. When I want to wear my hair straight this is what I’m using going forward!! Love it!! Thank you for the video. You look amazing ❤❤

I would love to see a demo of curling iron after the application of airstrait, and see if we can get a desirable finish. We curly frizzy hair gals sometimes need a straight base before curling.

I am pretty hair savvy as well, having suffered with fine wavy frizzy hair back in the '60s when long actually clothing-ironed hair was in style. (The "London Look," young ladies!) I try EVERYTHING. So, anyway, I bought my Airstrait about a month ago. At first, I thought I wasted my money. I had been getting great volume with my Dyson hairdryer, velcro rollers and my Dyson Corrale flatiron. (I haven't used my AirWrap in two years.) One lazy afternoon I decided to give the Airstrait a chance and some time. I was blown away, literally and figuratively, once I figured it out. Not only did I get no frizz, lots of volume and straight hair, but it also lasted through several humid days and workouts. Amazing. No regrets on the money spent. As for replacing other tools, no more traveling with the blow dryer and flatiron. This is all I need. And if I want some curls, a velcro roller and some hot air from the Airstrait will give me that,

I’ve been saying that it will be a HG tool for people who it works for! So I TOTALLY believe it! You have to share your tips and tricks because as you see here, I just couldn’t get it to work as well as traditional methods for me! What’s the secret!?!

@@ImMalloryBrooke Hey, well, my hair is a little longer than yours, so there is that. I do agree that this is not for short-haired women because you can't take advantage of the blow-dry cuticle-flattening effect. That's my inexpert opinion anyway. I am not a hairstylist. That said, I section off pretty small chunks of hair starting at the crown, pull down the shafts so the roots are straight and blast with the hot air stream, flip over across my head and use it like a giant roller and cool shot the root. I think that gives some lift. Then I twist and clip up the section (with actual clips not clamps) and move on. Once all my hair -- save for the bottom half at the back -- is clipped up, I start with the Airstrait at the back, holding down the hair in sections while I do the roots and then immediately dry the rest of the section until the back is as I like it. I move to the sides, the front of the top of my head and then the back of the top where I really try to work in some height. If I want more height/lift, I slide in a giant velcro roller, blast and cool, and ta-da! I hope this is clear. Oh yeah, I always use a thickening product (I rotate between a spritz and a mousse) and a sleeking product (rotating between brands.) And I always rotate through 3-4 shampoos and conditioners. Hope this is clear! Thanks for the video.

I have curly frizzy hair and I just purchased this. I’ve used it once with nice results. I even got stuck in the rain and my hair didn’t poof up like it normally would. My roots are frizzy prone so I’ve been playing around with drying my roots with this but not fully drying the length and using heatless curls after. I’m liking it so far. I don’t like my hair stick straight but like this to tame frizz and love that it’s less damaging.

How many times can we use it in a week so that our hair does not become damage?...Does it really cause less damage to the hair?
@Shannon-C3PO
@Shannon-C3PO Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure about damage in the long term. I hope the claims are correct about less damage. Time will tell. It’s using more air than heat so I’m sure it’s way better than a flat iron. I also have the Dyson hair dryer which definitely causes less damage. But I only blow dry my hair once a week. My hair is extremely dry and fragile by nature and I live in the high desert with zero humidity so I only wash my hair once a week. My hair will never get oily. But for people with more robust hair, some of them blow dry daily. I couldn’t imagine. But for some, their hair is still healthy with daily heat use. Some with naturally oily hair need to wash daily I’ve heard. I wouldn’t know I have to add oil to my very dry hair. Anyway I love all Dyson products personally.

Got one for Xmas and wow does it give stick straight in no time. I did it yesterday. Slept in a bonnet. Woke up and it looked shiny, airy and full of movement. No hot iron can do this. For me it is LOVE. I have the shark air wrap thing and it’s been great. Dyson tech is so good. I kinda wish I’d splurged on the Dyson air wrap but for a work at home mom they are both really luxury purchases. No regrets

I have naturally curly thick (AND ALOT) of Latin hair and my parents bought me this for Mother’s Day and I love it! It kept my hair straight for 3/4 days the only thing u had to touch up where my baby hairs since I work out daily but can only wash my hair 2 times a week or my scalp gets dry but I love it! I also have the airwrap and corral and this leave my hair straighter then both of those! Definitely think the airwrap is a better device to buy tho if your in between the 2! ♥️

Yes, you are right on! I own the AirWrap and love it. It's my go to. My problem is it's not easy to travel with because I use multiple attachments every day. I also own Shark Flexstyle, and multiple other hot tools which are way too damaging for me and my 60 plus year old hair so I never use. I purchased the Air Strait and have never felt my hair feel and look so healthy. It feels incredible. But do I want stick straight hair? It's not the best look for me. I think I look 10 years older. Maybe once a month I can go for a style like that but then is it worth $500?

I have curly hair - just past my shoulders. I absolutely love the air straight. It typically takes me about 90 min to go from wet to completely straight. With this - 30 minutes. Blows my mind. Lasted for days - I will say that’s because I have more dry hair, so I don’t make oils quickly.

This thing is incredible. I have long thick curly hair. I usually start with a Dyson dryer, then once I'm damp, I attempt to finish with a blowdryer brush like the Revlon one (my current one is Drybar), but still never seem to get those roots all the way dry. After that, I still need to use a straightener and/or curling iron. And STILL I get frizz. I also normally need a lot of product, especially oils after to tame the frizz. With this, I get a frizz free straight style. Even bangs. All the little kinks and wavy parts are smoothed easily. Much less frizz and the cool shot button takes that away. No product and my hair is insanely soft, like it's never been before. This changes the texture of my hair! And it will stay for a week, probably longer but I wash it around then. The only downside is that it's tough to get my hair to hold a curl all day if I want to give it a new style. I agree, the price is insane. Get one of the limited edition colors at the end of their season (you have to stalk the Dyson or Sephora website). This year, they knocked $100 off the Strawberry Bronze collection twice until it sold out. And I'm fortunate to work at Sephora and get that employee discount.

Beautiful!! I ordered it a few days ago and am excited!! I’d been saving up and I got it and the Airwrap. I do have long, thick, coarse curly and swavy (more so than wavy) hair that I adore but also like to straighten and/or play with on occasion. If I can do that without as much damage I’m on board. After watching several reviews on the Airwrap (which I ordered first) I saw that mostl people with curly hair similar to mine could not get their hair as straight as they would’ve liked with the AW alone. Since it requires your hair to be damp I thought the AS would be the perfect companion. I could do a couple passes and then go in with the AW on my damp hair to get big 90s blowout hair.

Just subscribed 😊 I just purchased the airstrait and I definitely think it will take some practice and have only used it once wet to dry. I have been trying to get the hang of blow drying my fine curly hair straight for years and haven’t mastered it yet. I’m coming out of the other side of alopecia (hopefully!) and I’ve got fair amount of short bits that are so obvious and basically just frizz up no matter what I do. That coupled with my textured fine hair makes me a perfect candidate for this tool I think, just like you said. Better this than a frizzy blow dry or attacking my hair with straighteners. Excited to see what other videos you have! *searches for heat protectant videos*

I've watched so many videos about this tool already BUT none had spot on so well who would actually and fully benefit from this tool - and you did! The investment is worth it for those who want an every single day sleek straight hair to avoid the damage - but that is all. Otherwise it doesn't worth it the money in my opinion

New subscriber because I need tutorials on how to use heat on my stick-straight, stubborn hair that I now color. I kept laughing every time you said wow about how stick straight your hair was turning out, because that's how my hair is EVERY second of my life even if I try to curl it, LOL. But now that my hair is colored, I have to protect it from heat and try to keep it from frying out. I'll have to look through your videos for best hair protectors and less damaging hot tools. Thank you!

Thank you for your video and sharing your opinion. This sounds weird, but knowing that the Airstrait can only making hair pin straight, makes me want to get it even more. My hair type is probably Type 1b, so it’s not perfectly straight with random kinks and no defined wave pattern. I prefer my hair to be pin straight everyday so much that I was planning on getting Japanese straightening done. I have the Airwrap and the soft smoothing brush makes my hair mostly straight, but my hair gets less straight as the days goes by. However, the airwrap’s soft smoothing brush adds more volume and body to my flat hair compared to the Corrale. I’m curious to how the airwrap’s smoothing brush and the Corrale compares to the Airstrait. I wonder if the Airstrait would make hair straighter than the Airwrap’s smoothing brush and which one would provide more volume/body.

Good video Mallory😊 I love my Dyson Airwrap but this tool would be a no for me. I think it will be a godsend for women with thick, coarse frizzy hair, but fine thin / low density hair like mine will look even thinner and lifeless as you end up with flat and poker straight hair. 🙁 It’s the only look you can achieve with it apparently…

I stay away from heat tools because my hair breaks easily... I will stick to my natural waves, I am cursed 😂😂😂😂

Totally understand girlie! But not all heat tools are created equal! Which tools have you used most in the past? Maybe I can help you find something less damaging for your hair!?

I bought the Dyson Air Straight recently. It did dry nice, but broke after only 1 month...dysons customer service has been AWFUL!! They were supposed to send a new machine out once mine arrived. It's been over 2 weeks since tracking shows they received my machine and I've called twice to see whats going on. They just keep giving me the run around. Worst customer service ever. I can't believe I bought a $500 machine it broke within a month and now Dyson isn't doing anything to help me get my new machine. I'll NEVER buy anything from them ever again!!

I like the idea of it, but I’m someone who need more volume.

My hair is very straight so of course, I've always preferred curly hair 😂 The result is impressive, but this tool not for me 😁

❤☺😘Aww but I like your curls too. Actually you'd look darling with 💩 on your head😁. Wow it sure did get straight though lol. As someone with naturally curly and wavy hair I was as wowed by you at the transformation. Thanks for the demo . . but all that money. 😢 Well just do makeup videos using all your current products for a while to catch up -- you already own a thousand times more makeup than I do. 😁☺😄❤🌷❤😍😘😉

Your hair doesn't look that curly to begin with. You could probably get it straight just by brushing it while you blow it dry.
