This song is about her dog, but it's also about love. A dog's love is unconditional. Charlie waiting for her in the rain outside is just such a warm and pure image - you can just imagine him wagging his tail, getting soaked by the rain but not even noticing, wanting nothing more than to see her and be with her and share all the hugs and kisses. This is beautiful enough, but imagine what it would be like for a person to wait for you to get home like that too? Mallrat must have buckets of love to give and I hope she finds the right people and pups to share it with.

This was the song I played quietly in the background as I developed trust and a bond with a semi-feral kitten who needed medical care. He was the sweetest boy who loved playtime and cuddles. He gave nose boops and forehead kisses morning, noon, and night. He cared for his other adopted litter mate in such tender ways I've never seen before in a kitty. I thought he was recovering and we were going to be forever friends until everything changed and he received a fatal FIP diagnosis. Less than a month later he left this world. My heart is broken. This songs now brings me to my knees with tears and grief, but I would never change those few months together. He got to know love, care, and comfort before he died just under a year of age (one year old birthday would've been February 14, 2024). This song keeps coming up in my playlist. I can't bring myself to skip it, but dear Bastet I need a break from the tears. I love you always and forever my precious Hank"aroo". You changed me forever and I'll keep loving you until it's my turn to leave this life. Rest in peace my little nose booper 🩵🕊️🐾🌈 January 18, 2024

I think of my dog and cat when I hear this. I was really feeling nothing but you made me feel something. I think about you when I sing, I think you might be an angel. They both have changed my world. I was not happy until I got my pup, and my cat was not well but living on a tight budget to treat her. Well worth it. I got judgement from my family and few friends, but I was in a dark place when I got her diagnosis I had to help her to help me.

I thought the be same after my baby of fifteen and a half years, Rayette passed in 2011. She could walk city streets off leash, climbed a tree, let her drive my car once....haha, my friend in backseat was slightly perturbed. A year later I got a boy dog that I named JoJo Berry. Had him three months before he got hit by a car. We we're walking on a hill of ice couple of days before Christmas. He had never run from me...had to do with his balls dropping and he was listening when I was talking to vet about him getting snipped. He was 60 pounds at six months old and was so incredible around little children. He would stand like a statue and let them pet all over him. At the emergency vet his bill went from 500 to 5,000 in fifteen minutes. I begged for them to let me clean toilets for a decade to no avail. I sent him to be with Rayette. Had two dreams where my first two doggies are together in heaven. After this incredulous heartbreak I went seven years without a dog. Only time period without a canine bestie and last year I got a three year old named Charlie Sue. She was getting into trouble on the farm...got skunked twice and had knee troubles and a cough. I am the happiest I have been since my last babies passed. They are all so unique and special. Please give yourself some time to grieve but I loved and love all three equally and cannot wait to get to heaven with all three big dogs in my arms. All three have a place in mom's 💚.
