I have built a couple of sets of Maltby TE forged with the universal hosel and built with .355 shafts and never experienced any movement once the shaft was seated. Maybe with some of the heads this does happen but not with the two builds I've done

Dont know about this club, but the tm p790, was super hot when I went for a fitting, these thin face, foam filled irons can smoke the ball. They can gitty up and go if hit right. 🤞, hope a cor rule dont break out for irons, I'm sure it will, when 8irns start being 175 out, into the wind, up hill. Lol

With the taper would you not maybe use a shim as well I like the feel I’ve used copper ones before or brass and feel like the vibration is better sometimes wooded dowels too depends on steel.

Awesome Content: Question: If you wanted to have those wedges fitted for lie does the company do that or are you stuck with the factory specs? Also will you do a review of the new Wishon Driver and talk about the other examples Wishon has in drivers? Cheers Buddy

He doesn’t really focus on swing weight. More of a total weight but the swing weight usually falls into place

I've had the MG's for 2 years and they show minimal wear due to that DBM coating. They still grab greens. I do wish Golfworks offered a 56/14 wedge without the DBM though. Their products are fantastic. Service is fantastic. I stumbled upon some Staff V6's about 2 days before pulling the trigger on some TE Forged. Can't go wrong with Maltby though. A person could fit their entire bag with Maltby for 1/3 of "brand name" clubs and still end up with higher quality, better performance, USGA conforming, top end equipment.

It would seem a forged club is easier to bend or adjust than cast clubs. Does heat help in that process? Love the videos. Keep em coming. 👍
@McGolf
@McGolf 4 жыл бұрын
Glenn Wisse yes typically forged is easier to bend and no heating is a myth.

Why wouldn't you be able to use any Ferrule you want? You don't need collared you just use shims inside if using .355 shafts

@Mathieu bellavance 100%. Epoxy fills in any spaces at top of hosel so no movement but if you still feel leary you can use shifting beads as well but no need. I've installed many sets of irons using Spacers and non collared ferrules without a single loose one in 20 years. Maybe they are newbies or no idea what they are doing but don't need collared ferrules

Hi Jim, hope you can answer this for me. If a hosel has a shoulder, do you absolutely have to use a collared ferrule? Also grailgolf.com has colored collared ferrules. Looks like you have to buy in bulk.
