Hi Luke what is the idea of making Galletti using both flour and simolina? I have been making mine with just flour. Have you tried making the flavoured galletti like the ones (tal furnar). They have several flavours. My favourite is Gbejniet tal bzar flavour. I have tried to make this flavour by putting grated gbejniet tal bzar ( I used about 6 grated gbejniet tal bzar) with the flour, but I can’t get the intense flavour like the tal Furnar ones. Any idea what I can do to get this flavour!!

Hi Gracie.. the recipe I used is from this cookery book... www.amazon.co.uk/Cookery-Malta-Helen-Caruana-Galizia/dp/9993200034?ref_=d6k_applink_bb_marketplace It's very popular..I think most households in Malta used to have a copy of this. I've never made any flavoured ones as I love the plain ones. I didnt even know they had gbejna ones! Sorry I cant be any more help!

When I was a kid in Qormi my nanna would give me a penny for galletti. The QE2 British penny was a big coin. The bakery sold galletti 3 for a penny. 1961. 😊

I imagine the tiny galletti would be easier to eat without crumbing everywhere
