No shit. I have been battling this and finally lost. IM TIRED. I Lived in apartment and the guy next door and his buddy were breaking into my apartment regularly hang out go through my stuff. Of course I have to work . They dont. They have it all . I ask them hey u hear anything over here today. Oh no blah blah. I move they follow and are in the place , or near. I got a new basic AS54. Five months maybe. You know settings are being changed. Strange apps . I go through remove permissions. Scan search, deny. Day, after, day, after day . Until today. I think this is another phone with my sim. They also for sure swapped my tablet with a p.o.s. put my case on it. Now it is just somebodies. I save my old phones use them around the house with wifi. My first phone GNote 2 when it released. Used it forever. They did that one, an S8 of mine. I still have to investigate the laptop. Im probably screwed. They break in get your wifi password . Get your pasword or screen record your device while you enter a code. Anyhow Im tired of this shit. And this tech . Good luck to you.

To stop this,, go into your settings of all your apps & turn off microphone permission until you need to use it - then remember to turn it back off again immediately. Also turn off any others such as camera, location, etc you don't want just anyone to be using. Don't forget to check your browser gh but Whenever adding /installing a new app, I think most ppl just click on "agree" rather than read through all the fine print or permissions bc it takes a little more time. You'd be surprised what's in some of that fine print & the permissions you are giving out especially if they don't even require a need for a mic or camera, etc! Have you ever talked about something & open your phone to find that topic in ads or Google search suggestion list? That's why! It feels creepy but it's easy to solve by eliminating permission you don't want them having access to...& YES...they can use them even when you are not using the app! When I got my first iPod classic, (design to look like smart phone) I made a joke to my son, telling him, "We aren't just listening to them - they are listening to us!! Really wish I had been wrong! 😂 Good news is your phone has not been cloned! Yay!!
