just keep in mind when doing this it could be dangerous to small animals and children if they fall in head first

The apples look great, it's the pig I can't believe people actually eat. I saw cooked pork under a microscope in High School, I've hardly eaten pork since. Only when it's pork or nothing have I eaten it, generally on a pizza. I'm 54 and I can honestly say I have not had bacon, pork tenderloin or even a ham sandwich since looking through the microscope. Only the occasional pizza topping is all I can recall. I even gave up biscuits and gravy, if it's sausage gravy. That one I miss.

Good for you. I think it is delicious 😋

@@HonestOpenPermaculture I didn't say it wasn't delicious. It's your pig, eat it if you want to! But I question how healthy it is and of all the foods we can grow or raise (I'm a homesteader also) it's probably the least healthy to eat. But they are delicious!

@@rebelrog how was the pork you looked at under the raised? What did it eat? How was it treated? What kind of exercise did it get? Did it even get any fresh air? Not all pork is the same. Did you look at chicken under the microscope? How about beef? Or lamb? Or goat? (Which most of the world eats)

@@HonestOpenPermaculture I didn't mean to hit a nerve, just because I choose not to eat pork doesn't mean I'm telling everyone else they shouldn't. As far as how the pig was raised, I have no idea. We looked at a wide variety of food under the microscope that day. I remember there were moving micro bugs in a lot of the food, like chicken for sure. The difference was when the pork went under the microscope, it was clear they were having a microscopic bug convention. Cooking it did very little to kill the microbes, it was very disturbing. Stuck with me my entire life. Pork is a non-kosher animal. Why? Because of what they eat. Catfish are the same for the same reason. Rather it's bottom feeding catfish or slop eating hogs, they will eat unhealthy dead food full of bad things. Chickens, sheep, goats are all kosher animals, they eat grass and other live foods. So with all due respect, it doesn't matter how you raise a hog, they are never going to be healthy animals. That's why God said not to eat them and listed a long line of other animals included for the same reason. But if you or anyone else wants to eat pork, I'm not telling you not to. I want us all to be free to eat whatever we want rather it's healthy or not!!
