This was unexpected... I truly thought we were done our first cycle of lambs, and took down our last remaining lambing pens.
But Wednesday night, while trying to watch Taylor, I checked my cameras and found that indeed, we were not done.
A beautiful set of triplets, which I weighed the next day and found that this mama had almost 35 pounds of lambs!!
And... she delivered all by herself.
The rest of my sheep could take some lessons.

I can relate. 45 years ago I had a totally surprise natural delivery of 3 baby boys--one 7 pounds 14 ounces, one 8 pounds 2 ounces, and one 7 pounds 5 ounces--a total of 24 pounds, 5 ounces. At the time they were considered by Guinness to possibly be the biggest set of triplets born in the U.S. Hope all of you--including the new mom--have a wonderful holiday season.

Congrats, even though that was a while ago! I have a friend who knew she was having twins, but discovered at 38 weeks she was having triplets(her mom was an OB nurse and absolutely insisted on an ultrasound) and they saw the triplet! They were born by surgery, the two identical girls were 6 lbs 5 oz, 6 lb 6 oz, and the boy was 8 lbs! The girls were both head down, so would have been born first. They are grwon now.

Wow! As far as I know, that is a record in my book. I've worked in every field of nursing except for the OR. I delivered a few babies, but they can't get anywhere near those weights. I do still hold the record for delivering the youngest mother, though (astonishing). Let's just say she was way, way, under 16.

With absolute respect and of course very belated congratulations, still think I'd rather have been you than a lady I shared a ward with. She only had one, delivered naturally 11 lb 7 oz, she wasn't even 5 ft. I remember seeing her shuffle down the corridor with cushion in hand.😳

But any viruses that may be in the home, could possibly be contracted by the baby lambs. That is why a lot of farmers do not allow the public on the farms. Just saying that could be an issue 😉😉, God bless 🙏 but it is a sweet idea😊

I didn't realize it was that unusual. My big old black Katahdin ewe had triplets this last spring. They were the only ones I weighed. They were all 12 pounds plus. The 3 girls weighed a total of almost 12 3/4 pounds. Mama raised them all . I had 3 ewes raise all 3 babies. I got 3 ewes with singles to adopt rejected lambs. 1 lamb was 4 days old so it took a week but I only have 35 ewes. I'm 76 and just didn't t feel like doing the bottle thing for 8 plus weeks. Every 4 hours for 1 week instead of 8 weeks was easier. I don't have a barn or help but as a retired night nurse, I manage to save just about everyone. Love your videos. I only lamb once a year so I love hearing all your babies.

Sandy, my grandson watches your vlogs on my iPad whenever I get to see him. I raised he and his sister, and mom took him away from me this January after she tried to harm herself. I haven’t seen him in almost four months now, he is 10 years old and his sister is in med school. A friend kept him today and made arrangements for his sister to catch a flight in this morning, and bring him to meet up with us and have our Christmas together. I am so incredibly blessed that this “family friend” who is kind enough to risk all to help keep our relationship close with the kids. The first thing he says to me after watching your last vlog today.. grandson says…”I really think we should plan to buy stockyard lambs in the spring. Instead of goat kids.” Oh, ok says grandma…Do you plan to clean up straw and help feed? “Nah, you can feed the ewes, and clean the barn. My jobs will be pulling lambs and bottle feeding!” 😅😂 Grandma replies..Are you sure you want to pull lambs, you know Sandy’s hand goes all the way inside those ewes?? Grandson: “Yeah, it’s a little gross but you get to help baby lambs be born. I already gut and dress my deer for processing. It can’t be any worse than that.” That’s true says grandma. Grandson replies…”I will give you all of my Christmas money I get…and I think we should start with maybe three or four ewes. And don’t forget to order those really long gloves”…😂😂

I love your Videos. Today I saw sheeps with her new born lamps under the free sky, in s Storm with soooo much rain. I stop my car and looks about the lamps. I must crie, they are all so wet, dirty and sharking. I looks for the owner, but there was no one😢😢😢. Thats Germany. The new born lamps must stay outside. I know some people are angry because your sheeps stay all the time inside, but I think it's much better than that what I must seen today. You take care about every sheep and every lamp. You are so wonderful. Thx you do that. I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year. ❤❤❤

Oh my lord..thats a lot of lambs to nurture and carry around for months let alone give birth..and on her own..gold 🌟 and A+.. my Mark's cocktail looked and sounded just up my street..love anything sour..what is the name of it?..
