You are showing that you can feed your family well balanced meals without breaking the bank and that it is okay to utilize food pantry and discount food places, how to grow and can... You are simple a blessing on earth. And your children are so cute and so blessed. You don't need to be fancy, and I love it!!!!

With your feelings you can make Hot pockets with it or like a pot pie if you want to like you can also roll out bread put the filling inside the bread then take another bread and put it on top and then seal it with a fork and egg wash it and bake it and you can have other type of little mini pies as well to utilize that feeling

My aunt used to make the best lunch. She would make tuna salad but you get it in the can so this easy peezy. Cut buns in half whatever you have. Take the tuna salad and put some each side of the bun. Then a piece of cheese on each half bun. Put them under the briler until the cheese melts and its a little brown on the edges. So good. My aunt, died about a year ago at age 93 but she made these until she was 89 and then went into an assisted living. While I live in KY I grew up in far western ND and my aunt and uncle live in Eastern Mont in a small town of Plentywood. I am headed up there very soon.

That's an old Chef's Pantry recipe. Haven't made it for years. Here's a tip: after you lay down your dough in the wreath shape, press it out a bit with your hands (or your Pampered Chef mini roller!). This will give you more surface area for fillings and make the bottom of the ring thinner and cook more thoroughly.

When I make any of those feelings I like to use a bread dough instead of the crescent rolls especially if we’re going to have them as a meal instead of an appetizer I just roll out the dough into a rectangular shape and cuts strips down the sides and braid them. It definitely makes it more substantial and less expensive

Great meal ideas and use ups! Your kitchen helper makes me smile. He is such a little hammy. I am on a ridiculous diet. Don’t laugh because it’s horrifying! 5000 plus calories a day. It’s a struggle for me to gain weight even with those calories. I know this video is what you are feeding your kids, but it’s what I am going to start feeling myself. Bacon! Cheese and more cheese! Pasta! Rice! Bread! You mix everything together so nicely and I bet it tastes so delicious. I hear that. Kids can be so picky. I have to tell one of mine that this is what I made and there isn't anything else. If they point out something else to eat in the fridge that they now is there, I just say that's for another meal you have your food in front of you right now and that's it. Sometimes they eat it, sometimes they go hungry. Sounds mean, but these kids gotta tough up. Hard times are coming and they may have choice in the near future. Gotta go into "mean mom mode". Haha. Just what I do though! I know every kid and household and situation is different!

Kitchen shears are a must! I know my hubby has heard it about taking them out of the kitchen. Lol. One thing I do whenever I bake bacon is chop 4-6 slices, and an onion. I stick that in the freezer and add it to a family size can of green beans. Easy, yummy side. ☺️

Greetings from Australia, just wanted to say how adorable yr kids are. I've only just discovered yr channel. You remind me a bit of me at yr age, except I didn't home school my 2 boys. Would have like to but its not something people do here. I'm 60 now and when I was yr age I was definitely into alternate ways of doing things. Guess I was abit more of a hippy. Congrats to you for all that cooking you do. Your the first person I've seen cook with what you have. Love it. I to would have used the tuna salad to make that dish. Alot of people don't have the experience or Imagination to do that. Look forward to yr next videos 💕✌😊

@@mamabairds cheers, look forward to seeing what you cook up next. Its so strange watching anything coming from America some times. We don't have food stamps here or open pantries. We have a couple but you have to be really broke to access them. I have a few times and it definitely helped me out. Also sadden by the fact you guys don't have free health care. That really sucks. Don't know how you do it. You really are an inspiration though, hope winters aren't to cold for you. Although I think Montana gets pretty cold. Think I'd rather that than the Australian summer. Way to hot for this old girl. Take care. ✌💛😊

@@wombat333 It is sad we don't have free health care. When I cut my thumb a month ago or so, it ended up costing me $200 for 3 stitches. And that's with health care coverage. Just a mess. That's why I don't even go half the time. But the kids do get free health care through the state, so that's nice! I'm happy they have it at least. It gets pretty cold here, but we like it! Expect for one of my sons, he hates the cold and is always freezing!! Haha. But the rest of us are excited for snow! Haha
@wombat3332 жыл бұрын
@@mamabairds I was wondering how yr thumb was, thats crazy, $200 for 3 stitches. I'd be up for millions if I was there. I've had a c section, 2 other normal births, hysterectomy, carpul tunnel surgery and more. Never a cent. You must have some chef training. I'm a retired chef and I can tell you know how to really cook. You know which flavours go together. Thats something that's not easily taught. It kinda comes from within. I reckon you'd be a very creative person. Well that's the vibe I get. Cheers ✌😊💛

Can you do a picky eater version of lunch and dinner meals? My kids are so picky and I want to try cooking new things for them that are more nutritious but I’m afraid of wasting my time in the kitchen cooking something nobody will touch.. it’s just me and my 2 Kid’s so if they don’t like what I made then I’m the only one that eats it and I end up having to quickly make something I know they like..
@mamabairds2 жыл бұрын
I don't really know what foods to make for a picky eater. Each kid is different with what they like and what they will try. I always have them try the food and if they really don't like it they can have a yogurt or something. But nothing exciting like chicken nugs or anything. I don't make another meal for that one, just something simple they can grab if they don't want what I made. They have to at least try it though, most of the time they end up liking it! Sorry I'm not much help!
