Thank u so much for sharing the German potato recipe. My husband is German decent and has such fond memories of being at his grandparents who lived just up the road. He would help his Opa in the garden. He especially loved going in the sauna and coming out and rolling in the snow. The sounds of the sauerkraut fermenting in the basement. He also spoke fluent German when he was young and although he is not fluent anymore he stills understand alot. When he left his small home town to move to the big city he moved in with a wonderful German family for a couple years. They are still a huge part of our family and are like his second parents. So this was really special to get this recipe. I am making it right this minute. Thanks again!

Kim, that citrus squeezer is nice, I want to get one. What you need is a canning funnel for those zip lock bags. I got mine at the Dollar Store….. best dollar spent. I make a lot of soup to freeze, it makes loading the bags so easy. I zip the bags, lay them flat on a cookie sheet in the freezer, until frozen, then line them up like a deck of cards. I have about 30 in my freezer right now.
So Proud of you for accomplishing so much and hopefully it will take some stress off you a few days. I also REALLY REALLY appreciated your EXTRA TIPS you gave throughout the video. You are a very educated and talented woman, mom and cook. Thanks for the video

Hi, congrats on the baby bump! That potato bacon dish you made, is a dish we do in Sweden as well. We call it Pytt i panna which loosely translates into "chopped bits of this and that in a pan". Perfect to do with any left over meat and potatoes. We serve it with a fried egg sunny side up and some pickled beets. A hardy dish, there is not an old style truckstop/diner that doesn't serve it here.
